Who the hell is Jadia JnPierre? Tell her know her damn place. What did she do to get this job? Is it financially prudent to paying a 'mouthpiece' over $8,000/monthly? Is it financially sound to be paying a 'mouthpiece' 25% gratuity after only 3 years? Why were all these consultants hired? Why so many big jobs for the 'girls and boys' overseas? Willius, Meneater, Ms. Clarke, etc? KENNY's TIME IS UP - GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT.

Anonymous said...

Yeah Fire or streamline the overseas jobs. Streamline Alva's travelling, streamline all the consultants - people like hunte's boy, streamline tuition fees for minister's girlfriend and son....Prevent Minister's girlfriend from joining them on trips to Taiwan. That's the kind of shot that's going on in St. Lucia. The same ministers people vote for, campaign for, today they passing you straight with their tinted windows wound up. Tanto tanto. In all this they sending their pregnant girlfriend to church with the parishoners and giving her a strict directive to mingle with the locals. WE WAITING FOR YOUR ARROGANT A....

After that insult, stand your ground. Be prepared to take the government to court. Your property rights and soon after everybody else's property rights will be at stake.

Kenny is a communist. He tried to muzzle the press. Now he is trying something else. Like a good Commie he is relieving the people of their property with his majority in the House. This is a very serious development in this fragile democracy. Unions cannot take this lightly.

SLP don't get your knickers all twisted. You are not being asked to manage the economies of no other country, Barbados etc, but ours. STOP THE DAMN LAME EXCUSE THAT OTHER COUNTRIES ARE IN THE SAME BOAT! We don't care for this kind of shitty excuse anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn it! Fix this economy. Cut the waste on STEP, on NICE and your useless padded staff in embassies plus a list of hangers-on you call consultants, who have proved that they know not much more than Jadia about economics.

Stop asking us to make sacrifices for your foolishness with Rochamel $45 million, Black Bay $85 million, and Grynberg $168 million plus legal fees! You could not see that those would bankrupt the country? But you rewarded this blunderer and his blunderings a promotion of the head post of your party for life.

If you cannot fix it SLP, then sack your completely useless minister of finance. He has shown that he has outlived his usefulness in this post for a very long time. Besides, he got this blasted country, taking the Treasury for his Piggy Bank for his re-election campaigns, and we today finding this country a bloody mess!

Government is not serious..imagine $6,000,000.00 of borrowed money to pave a street in Vieux Fort. Signed for only 2 weeks ago. Money they can not pay back. St Lucians dont know the 1/2 of the problems the country is in. I expect before 365 days are out the country will default on its loans or bonds or both. You just sit back and watch.

Anonymous said...

This Minister of Finance is blight. There are no two ways about this. What did Saint Lucians do to deserve this curse from this country bookie?

Anonymous said...

Kenny MUST GO - PERIOD. Let's get him out. He is the most incompetent minister of finance ever. Hiring all his cronies in big Embassy jobs and paying Jadia Jn Pierre ' s medical expenses without consultation. ..This guy is massa minded and dictatorial - HE MUST GO. HE MUST GO. HE MUST GO.

Anonymous said...

Nobody who has any damn sense could see Kenney's fingerprints all over this debt issue. He like an infantile impishly egged on the 14.5%. But now he as a public relations piece now saying that it was not affordable? He was to blind or was mathematically challenged that he could not see the ramifications of the increase on the rest of the economy?
This is what happens to countries that elect jokers and entertainers instead of people with technical knowledge, skills and abilities regarding how a responsible country and progressive economy really works.
Stupid Saint Lucians believe that once the person has a PhD, that person is good to go. We are paying dearly for our deep ignorance. I have only one vote.

Anonymous said...

Lucians do you believe that by increasing vat to 17%,planting vegetables and increasing the poultry production will solve our fiscal situation? We must be a sick country, when the head of the biggest union in the country could offer these proposals to solve the problem.

I suggest the following measures:
(1) a 7% salaries and wage cut on gross income
(2) cut the staff compliment by 1000
(3) salary and wage freeze for the next 2 years
These suggestions will be my contribution at Mondays meeting. For my country comes first.

Anonymous said...

@6:41 PM, greater union membership means greater union dues, which means greater union leverage and P.O.W.E.R. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Your crappy proposals shows that just like Kenny and his phony toady consultants, you don't know the first friggin thing about financial management. Do you? You pathetic little twit.

Anonymous said...

Does that twit at 6:41 PM cite any escalator clause that makes provisions for a salary cut in any or in the existing bargaining agreement? Aye! Do you even know what such a clause is?

Anonymous said...

The blood suckers are furious. The government should go to plan B and that is to layoff as many as is necessary especially those civil servants. They are making the most noise. They have been too complacent for too long.

Anonymous said...

the CSA selfish thinking:
when it come to salary increase they alone benefitting,
when it come to share the burden of the country then the whole public should carry it with this proposed 17%VAT idea.
BULLSHIT !!

When KENNY ANTHONY dare to touch the pensions of PENSIONERS in this country; he will begin to see his body growing FEATHERS; his fingers growing CLAWS; and thereafter; he will begin to walk on his hands and feet; dragging on the ground like a DOG.

Then he will realize just what has happened to him. EVIL, EVIL, EVIL that he has been engaging in; is being returned to him.

Return to SENDER 9KENNY ANTHONY).

That will teach him a good lesson. That is if he learns.

Anonymous said...

KENNY ANTHONY WASTED THE TREASURY MONIES FOR THE FOLLOWING; AMONG MANY OTHERS:-

FRENWEL/ROCHAMEL: 45 MILLION DOLLARS.

BLACK BAY: 85 MILLION DOLLARS

GRENBERG OIL EXPOLRATION? : 168 MILLION DOLLARS; plus legal fees relating to ALL of these,

plus, the NCA, the Helenites Building in New-York etc. etc. too many to list at this time. We will discuss them on television and radio.

Anonymous said...

The Public will now hear via radio and television and printed fliers; all the kinds of bills which they government has wasted on all kinds of SHIT.

How can any upright Saint Lucian support any character that KNEW beforehand, in advance, so says Jadia, that the 14.5% increase was unaffordable ... BEFORE the King Administration passed that increase? How can you? Yes, he knew that the country could not afford the increase. Jadia has reported it. Great PR!

Where was Kenny's patriotism then? There was no need to sacrifice then. Where was his darn conscience?

King had to borrow. Borrow. That dirty word! King had to borrow,$160 plus million! So says Jadia, in order for government to meet that increase.

But impishly, we saw a march in support of the CSA's demand. We saw support for what was known even at that time, that the country could NOT afford. The increase got the SLP's ENTHUSIASTIC, VISIBLE backing and support. An increase, which SLP knew fully well was NOT affordable. SLP PLAYED GAMES WITH THE ISLAND'S FUTURE! Still now!

Who is he, that has any sense of decency left, supports any politician displaying this level of political depravity and hypocrisy? Who? What kind of person does this?

When Kenny came back into power he piled on even more of his characteristic brand of the political mischief. Misery. He piled on the misery by increasing the size of the public service.

He piled on our misery by adding more consultants who provided him with endless bandages to help him win the next election. He continued with STEP. He continued with NICE. He expanded the number of holiday jobs 'for the boys' in the embassies, where these do-nothings are rewarded with room and board for their 'education scholarships' and shopping sprees.

Now this same character has the nerve, has got the nerve, to ask in this reign of terror, for more support to continue this immoral nonsense calling for sacrifice. Does any right-thinking person believe that Kenny will ever do anything in this life, else but what will return him to his pedestal, WHATEVER THE COST TO THE PEOPLE?

Machiavellian. Gross Machiavellian INSENTIVITY and the-DEVIL-MAY-CARE. That is the best way to describe and what defines this character's politics. He will stop at nothing. He stops at nothing!

He continues his march terrorizing the population and the media. Like a communist, now he is passing law to unilaterally to rob the public service of its rights to holding property, by whimsically cutting of their pay.

There are other measures which his band of incompetents, his so-called consultants will not tell him about, nor can he ever fathom them himself. They insist and are content on just picking the low-hanging fruit.

Kenny is too much part and parcel of this country's hardships. But this country has suffered enough! Too much!

Much more than this, Kenny has long passed his usefulness as, and is bereft of the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary and worthy of management of the public purse. Reread.

PS: Kenny must be made to face, what he has said in an interview, that he is mostly interested in, which is the courts. Karma. He must now be hoisted on his own petard.

8:02 the employer has the option to cut wages and salaries, in the interest of the national goal. For your information, the following options are opened to the employer:

1) retrench
2) salary and wages cut 7%
3) a combination of both of the above

so the ball is in your court, over to you.

The idiots on the constitutional review commission would have done us proud, if for example ,they had proposed an automatic "golden parachute" recall and exit arrangement, that would have allowed for easing the departure of incompetent ministers, past and present, like our PM, to prevent further haemorrhage and incalculable drains on our economy.
An independent Committee of Parliament would have saved us from such naivete, egregiousness, and costs associated with Frenwell $45 million, Black Bay lands repurchasing $85 million, and the illegal Grynberg Affair $168 million, with estimates of $500 million, plus the attendant legal fees.

Anonymous said...

Among other things cut down on government bureaucracies. The CSA should carry the biggest burden since they are the ones weighing the heaviest on the treasury ( 53% ) and benefit the most on cost of living raises (private or public). Raise the level of competition in the workforce. Many think they are the only ones who can do the job and have become very complacent. The tide must turn and now is a perfect opportunity. They are too laid back ( never in a hurry ). They make you stand on line unnecessarily. They work with a negative attitude. Get rid of those permanently. Too many willing and able and unemployed need the opportunity they have.

Anonymous said...

7.44 happy that you are a sound financial manager. Then please tell me which organization that you have managed, where 53 cents of every dollar received, goes to paying salaries and wages. your style of management can only be practiced in the public sector. No wonder 8.41 called you guys blood suckers.

Anonymous said...

R-E-S-P-E-C-T! The workers demand it! Now!!!!!

STEP, NICE, sinecures at embassies. Deafening silence by the external party machine spokespersons like Julian Hunt on Frenwell, Black Bay and Grynberg. Visible aspects of SLP toadyism.

PS: Do you SLP yardfowls know what good governance is?

Anonymous said...

8.39 get back to the issue at hand. Do you borrow funds to meet your monthly commitments? My problem with the PM is, the fact that in his 2012 budget he knew of the accumulated deficit and he sided with those on the stimulation fence, rather than applying a combination of austerity and stimulation policies.

Anonymous said...

8:53 what respect are you talking about? You are now showing your nakedness, colour is not the issue at hand. It has to do with your employer inability to finance his monthly commitment.

Anonymous said...

You are such an illiterate and a mentally challenged that you stumble on the word 'respect'. Respect means following protocol.

What the hell do most of you in the hierarchy in SLP know about protocol anyway. En rouge. Yes, of course.

PS: Is this not led us to this catastrophic pre-election and post-election personnel, yes personnel disaster for a party leader?

Anonymous said...

9.29 sorry but with people like you in the service, I can understand why we as a nation, are where we are today. I my be illiterate and mentally challenged but I understand, such terms as, deficit, retrenchment, debt ceiling and inefficient workers.

Anonymous said...

@8:48 AM today: Do you include irrepressible echo-chambers like Julian Hunte to provide solutions to our problems?
That character did not even have the efficacy to lead the SLP. He and Pip led behind the scenes, in handing over the SLP head post and title on a platter, bowing, prostrating and mumbling uncontrollably 'We are not worthy'. Two pathetic characters. They induce such a deep sense of pity!

Nobody in the private sector creates a financial disaster as in 53 cents per dollar example, and holds his job. Only in country-bookie led Saint Lucia!

In the private sector the board of directors fires you, helping you out with a huge! severance packet. Good riddance to bad rubbish! In Saint Lucia, on the other hand, the SLP cheerleaders, toadies and yardfowls change the party rules and reward your gross incompetence with the most senior post and title for life!

As was said earlier, we always get the government that we deserve; thanks to you Vieux Fort! Plato has been quoted as saying this much. Those who refuse to participate in politics must be prepared to be governed by the inept and the incompetent.

Where ignorance is bliss .... The entire country is haemorrhaging. En rouge! En rouge! En rouge in ...!

=========================
But your bias and bounded rationality like those of the PM up there, do not seem in any way to enable you to see that padding the government payroll with much more of these very same kinds of people would further aggravate the country's financial problem? Well, do you like him have tremendous difficulty and face severe cognitive limitations processing or incorporating that into the calculus? Yet his peers made him PM. Didn't they? Are they simply just worse than he is? We are better off with him you say? Isn't this a tad disingenuous?

Marcia Clarke sister to SLP General Secretary Leo Clarke has turned into newsspin pinese to criticize the current CSA executive and to push her labour government's agenda. Hope she and the other rug rats are brave enough to confront the present executive rather than hiding behind talk shows saying unsavory things about them.

Where is Customs in all of this. ?
Its time to show who the real bosses are in this country. Dont spend money you dont have. Simple as ABC.

If we get rid of the undesirables in the civil service efficiency will improve and the burden on the treasury will relax. Time for a change. Civil service workers should be rotated to reduce complacency. Tax collectors and law enforcement should ensure revenues are collected in a timely manner. Traffic and police officers should be more vigilant when and if they are on the job. There is enough lawlessness on the roads to afford a hike is revenues collected for disobedience. Party organizers should clean up their mess or pay a fine. Anyone selling liquor without a license should face a fine. In general if efficiency in the work place improves so will production and revenues in our treasury. There is too much slackness in the public workplace.

...................

Similarly, if we get rid of the undesirables and reprobates in domestic politics, efficiency will more than improve, and the DEBT burden on the Treasury will reduce. It is time for a friggin change!

MPs and government ministers should be rotated out of government! This would sure bet reduce, so much popular country-bookie IGNORANCE and logic, borbolism, inefficiency, cronyism, theft, gross ineptitude and accepted popular national stupidity.

I would not ever want anyone whose crowning achievements as prime minister of this country is nothing more than a recurring DOCUMENTED series of "Terminological inexactitudes"!

Anonymous said...

An smirking incompetent.

This is what resides at the head of the government today.

Incompetent in decision making. Incompetent in comprehending the financial and economic issues.

Incompetent in emotional intelligence. Incompetent in political maturity and in personal maturity. Incompetent in the interpretation of labour law and the crosswinds with constitutional law regarding property rights.

We are $78 million in the red. That is the level of the deficit.

This Minister of Finance therefore, has long ago OUTLIVED HIS USEFULNESS IN ANY CAPACITY to manage efficiently the scarce resources of this non-natural resource endowed country.

Egregious blunderings and financial wastage of scarce resources such as FRENWELL/ROCHEMEL $45 million, BLACK BAY $85 million, NCA, and GRYNBERG $168 million plus legal fees mark, and are scattered all over his ruinous flubbing REIGN OF ERROR.

Such a careless minister of finance clearly belongs to another time and place.

It is highly irresponsible to trifle impishly with, and to TRIVIALIZE the lives and future of an entire nation, sacrificing these to secure your own singular political future!

This is reprehensible political behaviour even in communist countries.

This is DOWNRIGHT UNPATRIOTIC!

This PM knew that Saint Lucia could NOT afford the 14.5% increase. Yet marched in support of it? Jadia's recent Press Release even says this much. Why? Because it would secure your political victory? And now this is entangled in the intractable debt problem, aggravated with more political games?

Is this the kind of behaviour that is expected of someone who is supposed to be a leader? A leader?

That is disgusting and reprehensible! What kind of person does that?

We NEED someone who has the MATURITY to have a deep sense of the ripple effects of the consequences of actions to understand what he or she is doing ... with humanistic empathy.

Right now the Minister of Finance is just warming up a seat frothing, blathering and flubbing. He is very CLEARLY just regurgitating script from the airheads he calls consultants.

Jadia is doing a better job of this right now. She knows as much as he does.

No to any salary or wage cuts. There are alternatives.

If the large entourage of NOT-SO-BRIGHT consultants cannot or will not persuade on other measures, and there are SERIOUSLY ... many other options available out there that have not been mentioned, let GOVERNMENT cut the excess numbers of UNNCESSARY party yardfowls on the government payrolls at home and abroad, padded when this administration came into office.

Clearly they have NOT contributed to any IMPROVEMENT in this nation's financial outlook or picture. Otherwise, we would not be here, and at this juncture, in the midst of their self-inflicted crisis.

If government unilaterally cuts wages and salaries, relieving the workers of their property, and attacking the CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION of property rights, BRING GOVERNMENT TO COURT. Let GOVERNMENT face the courts.

HOIST THIS ADMINISTRATION ON ITS OWN PETARD!

Massa???? With Kenny we were always under Massa. Why do you have an ambassador to the UN making over $ 1,000,000? Getting spousal support when she is unmarried? YOU ARE KILLING OUR PEOPLE KENNY. Your wife $600,000 for a flawed labor code, your daughter over $1,000,000 for the bank mergers, you over $60,000/month when you include per diem, Alva $30,000/month with per diem, Willius over $1,000,000/yr for doing what. …WE HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH – TIME TO GO KENNY. ALVA WE WAITING FOR YOU.

Anonymous said...

The idiots in SLP's hierarchy engineered this financial calamity by placing a complete financial illiterate into a position to become PM of Saint Lucia. A veritable square peg in the wrong hole. Please. Please. Don't send any more of your jackasses near my door to canvass. No more idiots, please!

Anonymous said...

We truly need well matured people to do mature job. The STEP program in not income generating. It is not a sustainable program, why are we pursuing it. We need to place back the farmers in an income generating group. KENNY you need to invest some money in the farmers so that our imports could be reduced. KENNY you were there when the farmers with much support from your party engaged themselves in activities that contributed to our demise. As a result we were not in a position to compete when the market became competitive. Instead of helping them to get there, you gleefully dumped them. You joined hands with the Civil Servants against Stephenson King Government. How long will it take them to understand that they face a similar fate as the farmers. Kenny after all those years you're still riding your one seat vehicle from Tete Morne to Vieux Fort Secondary School. No room for passengers.

Anonymous said...

Here comes the I.M.F.,now those civil servants will be shaking in their shoes went the government have to reduce the work force, taxes will go up etc.etc, etc, you all think it's bad now, like I said before HERE COMES THE IMF TIGHTEN UP

Anonymous said...

This is a national disaster. There is no one in government today with the faintest idea of how to manage this economy effectively. We have been happily rotating morons in that post of Finance Minister for years on end!
Today, we have another adored shyster who knew the economy could not afford such a large wage increase, but personally marched in support of that. It suited personal political gains to do so. Put the economy on the skids to gain power.
Not satisfied, this one-man destruction machine placed in the economy in further jeopardy. It again suited his purposes. The jackal went on to place more party hacks into newly created jobs at home and in embassies that remain today mere sinecures.
What kind of character does such things? How can anyone now, and in the future really trust such a character, when it is absolutely clear this one has not a semblance of having a moral compass? Saint Lucia has gone to the dogs.

CSA, piece by piece, dismantle this thinly-disguised, Kenny's terrorist and COMMUNIST enterprise. This is why the USA has ostracized this regime from participation in training. Kenny is nothing but a two-bit Communist.
