Can Lloyd Make A Difference?

I think the essence of Lloyd's challenge has been fairly captured and Mr. Josie has ,wisely, not offered an answer to the question.
For starters, Clive Lloyd must give careful attention to the apparent return to the philosophy that cricketing talent only resides in non -OECS countries. Meanwhile, the relegation of Darren Sammy to the drinks cart continues and it is hoped that he removes himself voluntarily rather than suffer embarrassment.

Neat

A very good read

Has sound application in a volume in the annals of Nation Building

The great "intellectual" musical group THIRD WORLD had a hit song with the following lyrical phrasing

"A senseof PURPOSE".

In much the same way Moses was recalled from his "pagan" exile to resume his true calling, HIS LIBERATING PURPOSE.
One that aligned with a greater spiritual purpose than his own personal success in pagan lands.

Thanks for invoking the memory of the classic cool of Lance Gibbs, Wes Hall, Rohan Khani et al

-and the regional /international standards they enshrined.

In cold grey London; West Indians smiled with sunny gladness and stepped in near regimental cadence that was bolder and more effervescent

-as OUR TEAM proved that they too were masters of the sport of Gentlemen!

..."shape young lives to a greater purpose, using cricket as a change agent"...sounds good, but get real!...what is it about MONEY that you don't understand?

Here are some coy UNDERSTANDINGS from

1 Timothy 6:10
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

1 Timothy 3:3
not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.

2 Timothy 3:2
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

6:6-10
When brought into the greatest straits, we cannot be poorer than when we came into this world; a shroud, a coffin, and a grave, are all that the richest man in the world can have from all his wealth.

If nature should be content with a little, grace should be content with less. The necessaries of life bound a true Christian's desires, and with these he will endeavour to be content.

We see here the evil of covetousness.

It is not said, they that are rich, but they will be rich; who place their happiness in wealth, and are eager and determined in the pursuit. Those that are such, give to Satan the opportunity of tempting them, leading them to use dishonest means, and other bad practices, to add to their gains.

What sins will not men be drawn into by the love of money! People may have money, and yet not love it; but if they love it, this will push them on to all evil.

Every sort of wickedness and vice, in one way or another, grows from the love of money.

Money is a means to serve our NECESSARY ends

-BUT the LOVE of it? for its own sake!

analogy #1

Think of $ as Fire

A very excellent servant but a ruthless master that will consume those who covet it.

analogy # 2

Why is it easier for a camel to slide thru the eye of a needle

-than for a rich man to enter spiritual heaven?

As a sinner who is not worthy of any mercies from God

I do sense your understanding of the dire spiritual warnings that are well established - over the covetousness of money

And so I bid thee well on your many temptations and run ins with GREED!

When I use to promenade in Conway- hottie girls squealed with delight for my monied attention.

NB Time Era

Before events of WT 9/11-Driving the NY truway at exhilarating "warp" speed was feasible with the best Radio Shack Cobra Radar detector. State trooper patrol were even fewer and more predictable Between Albany and the Canadian border.

Crossing the border was as fast as getting a burrito at Taco Bell

Arranging intercontinental flights with add a city convenience to one roundtrip agenda -even at the last minute was a snap if you knew SABRE coding and a pal who worked at a prestigious travel agency.

Staying fit as as a fiddle - good nutrition and copious quantities of disposable income was requisite

Although I can freely train you in the fine art of a suave, sophisticated Don Juan ;the histrionics of international current events will seriously curtail your globetrotting sampling opportunities.

BUT you can have a global cultural sampling during a 4 day holiday weekend via

-Quebec City- Vancouver- Los Angeles - Dallas

You will love the petulant pinkish Yokohama sushi and orange glazed Peking Duck of Vancouver.

You will need a hearty appetite for that delectable, succulent Dallas Rump Roast

The Boudin Noir sausage of Quebec City is best paired with a Kendal Jackson Vitners Reserve (at least 5 years aged in Oak) Chardonnnay and a fille (50% Iroquois or Inuit + 50% Arcadian French or descendant of escaped US slaves who migrated to Canada.

A man who covets money must have exquisite TASTE for specific samplings

In LA you get sumptuous role play fantasies a las Frutas

With your monied influence you create realistic auditions \
BUT the only theme is that your Body perfect actress wannabe stars pretend to be the center of your fruit salad creations
- use sugar free whipped topping to maintain nutrition regimen

In LA the motivation to satisfy your
taste is embedded in the Glamour of selling beauty. The power of money is truly glorified here in Hollywood county

I will share sin city skills 4 free

I will even throw in the budget air travel package for free HINT( battering airline perks from strategic sources)
