A brilliant and informative presentation Pat.

How could an individual, who NEVER having won an election in St. Lucia, is NOT a Member of Parliament, and REJECTED by the people of St. Lucia when this UNDESIRABLE nincompoop attempted to acquire political office in Soufriere, how could such a termite Allen Chastanet, who is NOT a St. Lucian but a Martiniquetian, expel someone who IS a St. Lucian from the heart of our country Micoud, ELECTED on many occasions to represent St. Lucians, Loved by the ones who knows him, and IS an ELECTED Member of Parliament, the Hon. Richard Frederick??

When will St. Lucians perceive themselves as worthy and deserving as the great people that they are? Allen is an ignorant individual from Martinique who has a cloying sense of entitlement and elitism, because of the monies amassed by his father riding the backs of St. Lucians while working for the C.I.A..

I have to agree with your brilliant analogy of the Slaves having to pay the Slave Masters for enslaving the Black Africans, and the request from the Labour Government for a five percent payback to a Government loaded with all kinds of useless consultants, while my support for Kenny Anthony remains strong as the naivety of UWP leaves me not much of an option.

SON OF MAN GOOD DAY 2 U MY BROTHER IN THIS STRUGGLE!

A very good article well written and full of sense....can you hear me Rick Wayne. Very balance and fair to both sides. I agree you can not have 75 consultants that no one knows of. Where is the openness in government. Allen spying for the C.I.A against a St. Lucian National will never be forgotten by the voters of Fair Helen.

A compelling must-read.

I love the analogy of the labour dispute with the sophistry of the Emancipation compensation to the slavers. It is so true. What a gem of an observation.

That the apple does not fall far from the tree? So true again. It is so cultural.

It takes a very strong character not to practice what you have been exposed to, what you have been taught, or what you have been subjected to, and not to transfer those to others, even though you know that in the first place, it is wrong, unfair and unjust.

Sadly, psychology is not taught at the secondary and tertiary levels in our regional educational institutions.

Most people I dare say, do not understand this country's culture. They think it is all the song and dance of the flower festivals and the retention of what is the emasculated creole, or the ritualized gyrations of the sex act during carnival, with minimal clothing on.

Thanks for yet another pithy article. It requires much re-reading to fully appreciate and process all that has been written up there.

That is why only the British should be celebrating Emancipation Day.

They enslaved the forefathers an made them pay for making them slaves!

That is why people like Kenny and Chastenet, whist being Saint Lucians after a fashion, are truly holdovers with REPEATED representative behaviours of our plantation slave past.

That is why NEITHER can ever pretend to walk a mile in the shoes of the 98% descendants of black slave population. NEVER, EVER!

We will one day move on.

But today, we are still wallowing in the misery and attitudes of our plantation slave past.

And like pigs in mud, most of us are enjoying it, whilst the majority continue to swallow the OVERSEER and ABSENTEE LANDLORD UNDILUTED SLAVE plantation crap -- passing for good governance.

Dr. OPTICAL,

There is a certain irony that can be addressed here and now. Many of us who were brought up in St. Lucia were "drafted" into the religion of White Supremacy, and as mentioned frequently the worship of a Naked Caucasian as the God of the Black man destroys the mind of the Black man by creating an obstruction or malfunction in his ability to think things through to a logical conclusion.

The white male worshipping (Jesus worshipping) culture within black communities unavoidably buttresses, elevates, and glorifies white manhood, while inescapably and inevitably devaluing and emasculating black manhood; a result that stokes a latent anger, a temperament of violence or of self-injurious behaviour in many young black men, while promoting a sense of racial superiority in many Caucasians.

Pat mentions the idea of Momentum, which is a Vector quantity = Mass x Velocity. In engineering we are taught to understand what we say, so mass has a specific meaning and is not the same as the weight, since weight is defined as a force = Mass x g (g being the acceleration of gravity) Because of the acceleration of gravity as a factor of weight, a person's weight on Earth where gravity is measured at 9.8 meters per second, per second, (articulated per second squared) is not the same on Earth's satellite the Moon, but his Mass would be the same. Even the Vector has a specific mathematical idea, where speed is not the same as velocity.

I say this to make this point, Most of the Universities attended by Negroes like a Peter Josie and these so-called leaders, perform a mediocre job of teaching students to think. They disdain honest intellectual inquirer, which is by its very nature distrustful of authority and subversive. So a mis-educated Negro has never asked: “if God died to pay the price for his sins, who did God owe this debt?” Was it Satan, I.M.F. , or the Holy Ghost?

This brainwashing mis-education allows students and faculty to retreat into self-imposed fiefdoms ignoring the important moral, political, and cultural questions of real life. How else can the vote taken by these leaders against Frederick be rationalized? The Great Marcus told us this:

"the traitors among the Negro race are generally to be found among the men highest placed in education and society, the fellows who call them selves leaders. For us to examine ourselves thoroughly as a people we will find that we have more traitors than leaders, because nearly everyone who essays to lead the race at this time does so by first establishing himself" Marcus Garvey

I have never ever voted for any party in Saint Lucia, because I would have to have three separate hands.

One hand would be to pinch my nose during the whole time I am in a voting station.

The other hand would be to half-cover my eyes during that time at the voting booth, because win or lose, the outcome for Saint Lucia as a whole for those with the foresight, would be the same. History does not debate this truth. We have been left with or voted for one colonial surrogate or the other. Tweedle-dee. Tweedle-dumB.

A third hand would be needed in order to cast the vote. As events have shown us, that in the past 30 years or so, we are hardly better off than when the colonial masters we striding around with plumes in their hats, and some with cork hats, khaki shorts and over the calf khaki socks.

We adore this so much that we can only vote for those with a khaki colour as leader of our parties, in order to make them the prime minister of this country.

They too, and in turn, feel such a deep sense of entitlement to, and ownership of both the premiership and the minister of finance posts. That is even when the evidence shows that their dog-in-the-manger sense of entitlement and ownership only shows them out as real perpetual screw-ups.

Compton was married to his plantation holdings so much so, that when the banana industry collapsed, jackass Saint Lucians still voted him again to revive it.

Now we have another khaki-coloured shyster, a true Minister of Finance from Hell in place, playing magician. During this political circus, the show has the CSA be given 4% with one hand, and the magician pulling out 5% out of their pockets with the other hand, through coercive legislation.

Some of us are not at all amused. Not all of us are laughing.

You enslave us with your Communist government bambo-$%#@ economics, and now you want us to pay you for enslaving us?

Without a coalition government, the mass of ignoramuses, morons, hangers-on, lackeys, yadfowls and the indisputable grey-haired jackasses will continue to present their favourite khaki-coloured morons in both main political parties as the most suitable candidates for the prime ministerial position and minister of finance. After all, the mass of idiot members in both parties know that these two have to be one and the same.

There is no hope. The historical pattern is there. Blame the other side when you get into power. Then do the same blasted things. Then simply repeat that they did just that when they were in power.

The vicious cycle repeats itself. We like it so.

Bringing the country to a newer and higher standard of living? That is not even mentioned in so many words. In fact, one of our very famous head shysters admitted in an interview that he does not even plan until he get the votes to govern.

In other words, the party manifesto is an insult. It is a sham.

It is there for the stupidly gullible.

If you vote based on any party manifesto of the major parties in Saint Lucia, you might as well put a stamp on your forehead that reads "jackass"

You might as well too, walk about with a placard on your back, which reads "Kick my behind. I voted because of the manifesto".

We can count on Mr. Pat Brown; who regardless of friend or foe; always said what was wrong or what was right.

Pat never towed any body's life. He has lived a full life; after his hard work.

He has always in our country's interest; said when it is right; it is right. When it is wrong; it is wrong; regardless of who is involved. This is why BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES have never made use of his VERY VALUABLE EXPERIENCE; WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND EXCELLENT SKILLS.

Pat has seen ALL SIDES OF LIFE's SPECTRUM.

Thank you Pat for caring for the country where I was born.

Imagine we had true professionals like Pat as decision makers in office we hardly would be in a financial mess like we in.

Believe you me, you are so correct @6:34 AM.

That is why the call is being made to Saint Lucians to dump these god-forsaken jackass political candidate recommendations made by the UWP, and SLP borbolists, sycophants, lackeys, and yardfowls.

We should support fresh blood and not the so numerous POS and damaged goods they repeatedly present to the voting public to vote for.

Seek out good people. Seek out skilled professionals who understand the needs of Saint Lucia as NATIONALISTS and not supine, spineless party broomsticks.

We need INDEPENDENT MPs who will always put the country first, instead of their party and all the yardfowls in their party's interest first.

If we had been taking this less selfish and short-sighted approach instead, we would not be today having to deal with a long history of so many blasted and confounded unipygic shysters posing as politicians, MPs and prime ministers.
