Frederick tried unsuccessfully to get a seat on the UWP's executive.Chastenet was not responsible for his defeat.Simply put the UWP delegates did not want Frederick in any decision-making position in the party.King did not have a seat on the executive when he became Prime minister.Chastenet was not responsible for King not being on the executive.The delegates were the ones who did not think that King had what was necessary to do a good job on the executive.
This means that the delegates,for different reasons wanted neither Frederick nor King in decision-making positions in the party.When King was installed as prime minister the delegates had no say in the matter.King should not have been prime minister.According to the constitution Montoute,by virtue of his position as deputy political leader,upon Compton's death should have automatically become political leader and prime minister until the party's next convention.
This did not happen and this is what has given rise to King's stupid belief that he should not have been challenged as political leader.What a shame.
The party's constitution was put aside to allow him to become prime minister,he expected the same process to be happen again,or if the post of political leader was up for re-election,he should not be challenged.This man has a false sense of political-leadership of himself.

The poverty of the UWP
I am sure the great man is turning in his grave because of all the things some, who believe they are just as great, are doing. The truth is all have the right to aspire to greatness. It is also true one cannot force himself/herself unto others.
This is precisely what I am reading going by the latest events in St Lucian politics. All how I apply my mind to the infighting within the UWP I sense a presentation of “I am the knight in shining armour”. I obviously led to ask the following: based on what criteria? Whose knight?
Mr Chastenet has been offered by the party to the very capable St Lucian electorate and rejected. Yet the party still insist on presenting him as an indispensable member. What has he done to merit this coveted decoration? You see to be great you have to do great things and so far all Mr. Chastenet has succeeded in doing is smashing the toys. He is a given………like handed down to us but not given by us and he is not from us. How can he understand my situation and that of St Lucians if he can’t hold a conversation with the average St. Lucian? This is something both Mr. Fredrick and Mr King are able to do. And yes the late sir John Compton was able to do it. Yes Mr Chastenet if you want to be somebody in politics your journey should start from the bottom up not from the top down.

He learnt his organisational skills while being a member and president of the teachers union. During his presidency the union was very involved in the politics of the day. Is 'The Silencer' another hoodwinked Boston Terrier?
Reading the Weekend Voice has confirmed my suspicion of their puppet approach and hoodwinked support to Allan Chastanet’s United Workers Party (UWP), including the letter to the editor: King – Frederick: The Facts, by “The Silencer”, which is nothing but utter political amusement alongside Jan Rapier’s blasé weekly letters.
Under normal conditions I would not have responded to a letter by The Silencer, a new hoodwinked Boston Terrier of Allan Chastanet’s UWP. But since this character stated “these are the facts of the matter, and nothing from Tori Fatal will change that”, I feel authorised to unblock The Silencer’s choked brain.
Where should I start? Straight up, The Silencer is a chicken preferring to hide behind dubious and mysterious names, in contrast to Tori Fatal, who is a real person, changing the fortunes of Chastanet’s UWP (Allen and Michael Chastanet) the mulatto bourgeoisies, hotel tycoons and the house niggers (The Silencer) that seek to re- enslave Saint Lucians.
Just look at how reorganizations and restructuring are bringing the UWP to its knees. Not that I am surprised, because that’s the record of Allen Chastanet in corporate life, with Windjammer Landing, Saint Lucia Tourist board, Air Jamaica, Ministry of Tourism, etc. Luckily, at Coco Palm Resort he is on a short leash.
To suggest that Stephenson King and Richard Frederick are dishonest by your definition of the facts leaves a non dictionary explanation to Allen Chastanet’s actions while in government, much less as the so called political leader of the UWP.
Under the leadership of Allen Chastanet, the opposition UWP has never been so disjointed. Never in the life of the UWP in opposition have they lost two members of parliament (another could be on the way), which may serve to strengthen the Lucian People Movement (LPM). A small party that some called insignificant; now they are taking the nation by storm, captivating minds in a practical way, in four short years! This is unheard of in the recent history of Saint Lucia!
Never in the life of the UWP has Allen Chastanet as a former tourism minister raped state revenue with $50,000 a month phone bills, bogus tourism promotions, (Boxing In Paradise and fake screenings, claiming to put Soufriere on TV screens around the world) with no improvement in the tourism product, except a smooth talking mulatto bourgeoisie with lost significance.
Never in the life of the UWP have multiple (covert) airline contracts, million-dollar travel bills, secret business deals that Hon. Stephenson King never authorised for travels to Dubai, Panama and elsewhere. My information is these will come up in the House of Assembly soon for explanation. I can’t wait to learn who has corporations and bank accounts in Panama. Or which former minister bought an apple farm in Canada.

Never in the life of the UWP have Allen Chastanet and Guy Joseph collaborated in joint corporations to suck $19 million of taxpayers’ dollars in contracts. Not to mention the Hewanorra Airport development, in which a former minister would have received millions for his company in the name of finder’s fee. Oh, not to mention the bold attempt by that minister to persuade two former minister to accept millions for their participation to facilitate.

This tells me that you have not learned that Allen Chastanet is a total mess as a so called political leader and in corporate life. His ability to win a seat is not going to happen, not even in Micoud South, no matter how much money he pays to force a by-election early next year. You simply have to look at what happened in the last election in Soufriere. Nuff money, no message, no track record, powder puff strategy, poor tactics, no result! Allen’s UWP is a dead goose even with foreign advisors. They are no match for political worriers and conquerors like Tori Fatal.
To find more facts, I suggest The Silencer questions Allen Chastanet about his role in Super 8, and ask Allen Chastanet why Michael Chastanet does not trust him to sign cheques at Coco Palm Resort.

Would any one of those constitute or together strike you as grounds for barring such a person from being in position anywhere near, as having total authority of the national treasury?
