Carlton:

What kind of movies you were watching garcon? You didn't Notice that God and all his disciples were White?

Anyway you are being informed by the Arch Deceiver especially when you acquire your inspiration from the Cesspool call Hollywood.

You still question the reality of the Next Life using the skewed data that, "None has returned from the Dead". In fact, your fifth paragraph begins, "if there is life after death we know nothing about it." You? you who only a few sentences before extolled the raising of the dead by Jesus? So why are you in doubt that the dead can be resurrected?

Carlton I will have to ask you not to do that! do you even believe yourself? But here, some 4.5 billion years ago the Earth was a molten ball of Elements; there was NO life, you were DEAD. So in your face, there in front of you is the evidence you cannot see. From the Qur-an: Surah Al-Baqara

How can you disbelieve in Allâh? Seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the Day of Resurrection) and then unto Him you will return. (See V.40:1) (28)

Carlton, how can a person be an Engineer and never studied the Newtonian Laws of Physics? How can a man understand, This and the Next Life without studying the Qur-an? Who has forbidden you from reading the Quran??

From the Quran:

Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners, (71)

And have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding, some for food? (72)

Benefits and (divers) drinks have they from them. Will they not then give thanks? (73)

And they have taken (other) gods beside Allah, in order that they may be helped. (74)

It is not in their power to help them; but they (the worshippers) are unto them a host in arms. (75)

So let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! We know what they conceal and what proclaim. (76)

Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent. (77)

And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away? (78)

Say: He will revive them Who produced them at the first, for He is Knower of every creation, (79)

Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it. (80)

Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Aye, that He is! for He is the All-Wise Creator, (81)

But His command, when He intendeth a thing, is only that he saith unto it: Be! and it is. (82)

Therefor glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion over all things! Unto Him ye will be brought back. (83)

Here are some verses to reflect;

Surah At-Takathur
In the name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful.

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), (1)
Until ye visit the graves. (2)
But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). (3)
Again, ye soon shall know! (4)
Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (Ye would beware!) (5)
Ye shall certainly see Hell Fire! (6)
Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! (7)
Then shall ye be Questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in)! (8)

Surah Fatir

Then We gave the Scripture as inheritance unto those whom We elected of Our bondmen. But of them are some who wrong themselves and of them are some who are lukewarm, and of them are some who outstrip (others) through good deeds, by Allah's leave. That is the great favour! (32)

Gardens of Eden! They enter them wearing armlets of gold and pearl and their raiment therein is silk. (33)

And they say: Praise be to Allah Who hath put grief away from us. Lo! Our Lord is Forgiving, Bountiful, (34)

Who, of His grace, hath installed us in the mansion of eternity, where toil toucheth us not nor can weariness affect us. (35)

But as for those who disbelieve, for them is fire of hell; it taketh not complete effect upon them so that they can die, nor is its torment lightened for them. Thus We punish every ingrate. (36)

And they cry for help there, (saying): Our Lord! Release us; we will do right, not (the wrong) that we used to do. Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? And the warner came unto you. Now taste (the flavour of your deeds), for evil-doers have no helper. (37)

Lo! Allah is the Knower of the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. Lo! He is Aware of the secret of (men's) breasts. (38)

He it is Who hath made you regents in the earth; so he who disbelieveth, his disbelief be on his own head. Their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers, in their Lord's sight, naught save abhorrence. Their disbelief increaseth for the disbelievers naught save loss. (39)

Spring and the power of redemption are so synonymous.

Barabas is alive and well in the form of our preference of the Black market including its infamous departments of illicit pharmaceuticals, sexploitation, over law and order.

I especially like the modern political savvy of Pontius Pilate- by all inferennces of a studied Roman academic- knew the innocence of C`hr`i`st -as charged- but `to placate local leaders and cool the consbulary post of his centurions- decided on the symbolic washing of the hands-

I wonder if this act influenced the writing of Lady Macbeth's symbolic hand washing in Macbeth?

Yes, Hollywood can be an acceptable reference in expose or crtiques because of its universality.
of unwavering belief of MOses in TEN COMMANDMENTS
One needs no formal edu to get the powerful evocation of ambition and pride in BEN HUR or the riveting belief in God by Moses In TEN COMMANDMENTS.

Mr Carlton is not wrong in using those literary tools of reference- to write home his piece on moral decay as endemic to our human history.

Hereiss a simple experiment to prove Carlton's point
Offer any 25 college sinle males to choose between a free pool party with 25 of their female peers-free beer wine and favorite foods on tap
or assist at a soup kitchen preparing and serving lunch and dinner for the homeless (no academic credit)

Here is another
Will a teenager snitch on his supplier of hi grade ganja or rave at every oppotunity to throw egg yolks in the face of law enforcement activities.
Barabas and Pilate are alive and well.

Never tell a youngster of : the 'good old days' or 'when I was your age' stuff...because you will be on to a dismal start!

@ 3:54 PM.

You are right. When ever I started telling my kids "when I was your age or when I was growing up" immediately they would say, "here he goes again" or "daddy, we don't want to hear about it".

They are not interested in yesterday, it is a generation of "now." People my age will never and cannot understand the way the young generation think.
And you know what? they may be right.

As for SOM, he keeps plugging his Islam crap on here, is he trying to open a branch of Boka Raham (or something like that) in St.Lucia?
How many St.Lucian girls would submit to having their FEMALE ORGANS MUTILATED, or be forced to marry some man they don't love?

SOM: God has no race, colour or creed. God is a Spirit and will appear to you, as one of your kind, so to identify with you, so you have no fear. The messengers of God - or the Angels didn't come with wings or with Halos.

We are told that a radical Islamic group called Boko Haram has kidnapped schoolgirls in Nigeria. This classic good-vs.-evil tale pits crazed Muslim extremists against adorable innocent children. The whole world demands the rescue of the girls, and deplores the evils of "radical Islam."

It is a terrific story - the stuff Hollywood films are made of. But is it true?

Though the story is hogging the global media spotlight, it is full of gaping holes and wildly inconsistent official pronouncements. The Christian Science Monitor, hardly a bible of conspiracy theorists, points out:

"For all the urgent headlines and advocacy, however, what is still missing are basic facts. It is unclear how many girls were abducted, who they are, who did it, at what time, and exactly how."

A story featuring unknown heroines and unknown villains performing unknown actions at an unknown time does not even qualify as a myth. The word "rumor" might even be an exaggeration.

The Christian Science Monitor story continues:

"For starters, the number of girls taken away by the self-described Islamist radical Boko Haram and later rescued keeps changing. First it was 129 girls rescued. Then 121 were rescued and 8 were missing. The next day, none had been rescued at all. No collective set of photos of the girls appears to exist, or even all their names (some websites with photos of the girls have used photos lifted from elsewhere)."

The recent video featuring supposed Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau alongside pictures of praying schoolgirls raises more questions than it answers. First, if the person in the video is really Shekau, why does the Nigerian government continue to insist that Shekau is dead? Why did Boko Haram and Shekau (assuming it is really Shekau) wait three weeks to claim responsibility for the alleged kidnapping?

The Christian Science Monitor points out that "the only hard evidence that Abubakar Shekau is even the leader of Boko Haram is that he says so. This is a man who threatened to kill former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher from his hideout in northeastern Nigeria more than six months after she died."

Many Nigerians wonder whether Boko Haram really exists. The supposed radical Islamic organization has been blamed for the killings of thousands of people. Yet details about the group are so murky that many observers suspect it may be more mythical than real. According to one theory, the real killers are mercenaries paid to stage false-flag "Islamic terror" in order to justify foreign intervention in oil-rich Nigeria.

Now if most blog responses were presented in this manner- whether one agrees or dissents. Citing sources to strengthen ones viewpoint . Or posing other avenues needing clarification.

I enjoy good writing regardless of the controversial elements under consideration.

This was an interesting well supported piece- Nigeria has been controversial for a very long time.

Some of the poorest & oppressed Nigerians are indigenous folks whose traditional homelands are the very pumping oil lands. How ironic?

Carlton, will you take a better photo with your mouth closed?
If you prefer to have your mouth open, then arrange to have the gaps filled with teeth or a reasonable facsimile. Good night.

@3:42 PM Are you a superficial nitwit or or vain nincompoop?
You are the type that would eat Haagen Daz out of the $ million insured glutunus maximus of Jennifer Lopez while scorning any philosophical conversation with Mother Theresa (because..................???)

And of ourse you would choose Britney Spears for deep political conversation over a modern Golda Meir.

your -65 IQ and juvenille disrespect of Mr Carlton is ?&*!#

It has started. If an entire U.S. fleet can't find an airplane with 300 people on it, what makes them think these U.S. soldiers will find the girls, unless . . . Looks like those African Heads of State bent all the way over for their European masters. Soon, the U.S. will have troops in every country on the African Continent except Eritrea.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States has deployed 80 military personnel to Chad to help locate the nearly 300 girls kidnapped in Nigeria last month, President Barack Obama said Wednesday.
