I am glad I left teaching. Pity the poor teachers. They are being asked to take a 5% pay cut on top of that. Do you think that this is fair? Is this fair? Mr. Prime Minister, is this fair!!!!! Where is your darn conscience?

Come on politicians, start earning your wage.

Why does no one place the responsibility where it belongs?

WITH THE PARENTS

Not the Teachers, not the Politicians, not the Police

The politicians are to blame also

Great Job Police Officers. Impact and Effectiveness. That's where we ought to be. Nuff talk; and more action. Great work.

Bravo Commissioner Vernon Francois and Corporal King and Team. We are proud as Lucians.

Why don't we stop the blame game and place the problems where they belong SQUARELY AT THE HANDS OF THE PARENTS. Child bearers male and female, YOU are the ones who brought the little people into this world. THEY DID NOT ASK TO BE HERE. Therefore it is YOUR responsibility to take care of them. Stop leaving your jobs for the teachers, the politicians etc. Do you recognize that we are no longer in a society where we are each other's keeper? You drag your children up, refuse to make the necessary sacrifices to PARENT THEM and when they turn out to be monsters you blame society. THIS IS SO DAMN UNFAIR. When a 28 year old already has 4 children for $ DIFFERENT MEN what the hell is this? This is the start of major family problems already. I feel sorry for the poor children who are being dragged up in such miserable and deplorable circumstances. That child bearer has not lived her life. She will want to wear the latest clothes, have the latest cellphone etc. Her children are secondary. So childbearers/ parents take responsibility for your children.

Thank you Commissioner Francois and Corporal King; at least you folks are helping to make this place a better place; although everyone knows that it isn't easy these days.

To the post, "Why don't we stop the blame game and place the problems where they belong SQUARELY..." You cannot blame the parents if you have recognized that society if no longer their "brother's keeper." That is the problem; we no longer but faith in our communities (neighbors, police, politicians)but place all the responsibility on the parents (in most cases, as noted, are unable to fend for the children)... We recognize the situation of most parents in raising children (failure!) so why not rely on "communities" to help? We as individuals of this society must take responsibility for whats going on around us. If I, in any way, try to discipline my neighbor's child, I can be cursed off. When I was raised ANYBODY could beat my a** if I did something wrong, and my mom would finish the job once she found out. The problem was when my generation started retaliating and said "Nobody is touching my child." Now, nobody can touch their children- except the hand on of death and misfortune... #saddened by this reality

Thank you Mr. Vernon Francois, and your Team; Corporal Ted King and his team for saving what could have been a dark day in this country; and who knows, the lives of many of our children.

We thank you.
