In any male-dominated culture, unbiased studies will reveal that it is the women, and not the men who will liberate them. Men see no value in changing the status quo. Otherwise, it will not happen.
It is part of the Judeo-Christian and Moslem religious philosophies. Abuse and marginalization of women is written in their 'HOLY' books. These three religions share the same origin. Unless viewed from this perspective, you are whistling in the wind and leaning on the wind for any positive change. You are certainly a most misguided person.
The fathers, brothers and uncles who are not involved in abusing women and girls must stand up too!
the misogyny in rap/hip-hop/dance hall does not help the cause either
How about an annual two week intimacy fast by all women in solidarity for all victims of abuse violence. Start @2 weeks before xmas.
During the fast conduct workshops, seminars by private and public funded entities.
Some activities for women exclusively, some for men + wmen ,some for teens and others for younger adolescents.
Certified Specialists prepare all content (to avoid extreme feminist or political agendas). The objective is a FAMILY CENTRIC one even though the reality of single family homes headed by women is en vogue.
How about making a request to Lloyds of London
(the international insurer of most of the world's ships); via government communique, requesting a drastically reduced or foreclosed -perhaps a donated seizure- of a ship that can be converter or renovated to serve as long term "floating shelter" .
