An Unfortunate Reaction By P.M.

One tires of hearing of the enormous sacrifices made by the Chastanet family to the economic benefit of St. Lucia. In my view Michael Chastanet is an astute businessman who has had the uncanny ability to take advantage of business opportunities, mainly on account of his contacts, and recruitment of the right managers. Absolutely nothing wrong with that BUT DO NOT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE NATIONAL SERVICE WITHOUT A PROFIT MOTIVE. Incidentally, there is nothing to give the Country comfort that ALLEN CHASTANET will bring any skills to the leadership table that KENNY ANTHONY has or has available to him. Our problems should be solved without the influence of political bias, but that is utopian!
Small businesses are usually operated by family members to maximize profit. Large businesses however, require a larger workforce to function profitably, thus requiring a labor force which a single family may not be able to provide. They have no alternative but to hire from outside family circles. How generous is the employer ? Does he share his profits ? One should always be appreciative of the employment opportunity but always be mindful that it is an exchange of labor for salary.
Kenny Anthony and the Chastanets; are meme bete, meme pwelle.
Kenny's daughter; Michelle (I believe is her name) runs a Legal Firm with the wife of Michael Chastanet's son (Allen Chastanet) whose name I do not knoe; but she is a Du Boulay.
So what the hell Lucians want to know again.
Many Lucians have still not realized that all the fake hype of "enemies' put on by these two parties is just a fake. Behind close doors they are all cosy friends. They agree among themselves to give way to the other when the people put pressure for one or the other to go.
Have we not yet understood this dirty politics/ Why do you think they all cover each others dirty behinds when they continuously steal the public funds and if when they are caught in corruption; no one ever goes to jail; even when the expensive Commission of Inquiry Reports point to the theft.
I agree with the conclusion for a recall of the Minister of Finance, if we had ever had the ability to foresee its necessity.
Just like it has been said elsewhere, the Prime Minister should fire the Minister of Finance for his string of egregious financial blunders. Clearly, the current Minister of Finance has long outlived any usefulness he might have had in the past, as Minister of Finance. It is evident, that the management and business-related skills demanded by this job are so much more than that of someone who management skills and experience do not, in any form or fashion extend beyond outdated classroom management. We have a square peg in a round hole, incapable of seeing the forest for the trees.
The current economic crisis shows the cardboard character and picture of the Minister of Finance. As we were being told some years ago, the minister is just reader of scripts written by and equally lapo ministry of finance. He did not know much more then than he knows now about the ramifications of all the measures he was trotting out.
Today, we are catching our tails. This is because we failed our children and ourselves by not asking what were the repercussions of all these borrowings and fanciful yard fowl projects, like NICE and STEP that were being concocted. What a heavy price to pay for unalloyed SLP political crap.

Sister Christian, oh the time has come
And you know that you're the only one
To say okay
Where you goin' what you lookin' for
You know those boys
Don't want to play no more with you
It's true
You're motorin'
What's your price for flight?
In finding Mister Right
You'll be alright tonight
Babe you know you're growin' up so fast
And mama's worryin' that you won't last
To say let's play
Sister Christian there's so much in life
Don't you give it up before your time is due
I think it's true and I know it's true yeah
Motorin'
What's your price for flight?
You've got him in your sight
And drivin' through the night
Motorin'
What's your price for flight?
You've got him in your sight
You're just drivin' through the night
Motorin'
What's your price for flight?
In finding Mister Right
You'll be alright tonight
