It is not normal for a decent society to have such an alarming rate of personal attacks nor the appearances of so many dead bodies of people who never seemed to have gone missing in the first place.

Saint Lucia is a very sick society.

We are playiing too much frigging Jamaican ghetto music on the radio stations.

Saint Lucians have no f&%$-ing class.

Each and every time our #$$&-wholes who play this kind of music on the radio and in their houses, make the entire country and neighbourhood sound like a frigging Jamaican ghetto.

This is not about music or the Jamaican Ghetto. This is not even a Caribbean problem...It is a worlwide problem. Everybody wants to be strapped with some high powered weapon of some kind either for protection or otherwise. In our little plot of Earth, until we instil some better values in our children, and teach them the importance of "living by and for each other", we will continue to a part of the problem. It is a bitter for us to swallow, but our life values have detriorated and we aim to be like the rest of the world and that is the result. When will we learn that we can be in the world but we don't necesarily have to be a part of it? The question is, who is willing to take up the mantle and teach our children that competitiveness, selfishness, greed, idleness, lack of compassion, envy, vengefulness, only leads to death? And if such a one does really have the desire or dares to do it, will we allow it? We cannot find solutions when we are part of the problem ourselves. I am calling on all of us the adults and those in authority to ponder that situation because it is getting very late in the game for us to wallow in self pity. Our children need better guidance and who is going to bell that cat? While we emphasize on punishments for crimes, our youth are dying and all we do is think of more stricter laws. Stricter laws do not abate crime and acts of mischief. But using Right Reasoning, Right wisdom and Right Over Standing surley will. Think People! I sincerely hope that young man recovers fully from his injury.
