‘Check The Figures’

We St. Lucians need to support the efforts of the police to combat crime regardless of what anyone thinks. We the people are the ones who live in fear. There seems to be more support for criminals' rights than victims of crime, therefore we have to do what is necessary to continue to bring the crime rate down, as well as the fear that criminals have instilled in us. They are the ones who should be afraid.

When we talk about crime rate, are we talking about the percentage of crime or the numbers? I think we should be looking at the percentage for that is what "rate" means.

Additionally, when we talk "crime rate" are we just talking about the "murder rate" or "homicide rate"? The crime rate include all crime of which murder is included.

Just a thought, murder and homicide are two different things (some are aware but others are just ignorant of that fact).

In any category of crime, the rate (percentage) and the amount for any given period, ascends or descends simultaneously.

Sure LaCorb rest on your laurels. The crime rate has gone down but not by dint of your perspicacious leadership in your capacity as Minister of Justice. Show me one policy with your imprimatur that would suggest that you have been providing visionary leadership and I eat these words.

Every now and then there is an unexplained lull in violent crime so instead of being proactive and using this lull to impliment some far reaching policy initiatives you are blowing you horn.

I would love to give you some credit but you have done absolutely nothing to broker a break through of the impasse with the US Dept. of Justice so our police force will no longer be hamstrung by this ban on training and much needed assistance to fight our growing crime problem.

You have done absolutely nothing to address the overcrowding in the jails due to the perplexing increase in remand prisoners and the list goes on.

Several other deaths where reports are over due. Come on admit you are a failure and ask the PM to relieve you of this burden. Do your country a favour and go and practice law if you claim to be so good at it.

The reason why you want a government job is because you would starve as a lawyer because you are incompetent at it.

This talk by La Corbiniere is nothing but 'POLITICAL HYPE". He cares not one damn about St. Lucians. He only cares about himself remaining in power.

These guys always try to use the Police as a scape goat.

Whatever happened to the evidence he said that he and customs had on Richard Frederick? Where is it? Why has Frederick not been re-arrested? .

These people are just plain dangerous and wicked. Power at ALL COST.
