Words cannot describe how elated I was to read this. How proud I am of the difference that you have made and how much you continue to inspire me daily.

So proud of you. You walked through your storm holding your head up high and that what it takes. Much Love

It must be a hard thing to bare yourself like this but it must also be a strong person to do it. Very inspiring....wish you well

You are s strong woman now with your head held up high. I really do admire you and look to you as my strength to carry on to fulfill my dreams.

Enough of Jadia's friend commenting.

You are a deeply disliked individual within st lucia. You are divisive, not nearly as intelligent and frequently overstep your mandate as a simple press-secretary.

Laborie don't respect you either, please be gone.

take your crook of a boss with you as well. Everyone sick of his bitter days. For someone who is meant to be a constitutional lawyer, he does some very odd things (grynberg). Why is he setting out a 'vision committee' in his third year of parliament after years of planning? Does he have no plan? What's his family doing on there?

Why does he always hire his foreign lawyer mate Astaphan at Lucia's expense?

Why is he both minister for finance and PM?

Why did he take over Hippoyshite's portfolio for a weekend and then sign up some new gambling licences?

Why did he not like the Taiwanese when he was in opposition but he likes them now?

Why do youths die in police custody and he has nothing to say?

Where is the 100mil he would 'immediately inject into the economy'?

Why was he marching with the workers about the pay rise in 2010 yet now he says everyone has to have a pay cut? Was it to spite King even though King was correct?

Jadia says she loves this man. Therefore she is an accomplice to the crimes and is a certifiable moron.

It's amazing that her baby's father ended up marrying her.. I wish all guys were so committed

Opaque answer the captains points! You're another apologist on government payroll. Only a party hack can be happy with how the country is.

Main headline today - girl stabbed by man for mobile phone. You pleased with Kenny's st Lucia you little salop????

Opaq said...

Yeah clearly The PM put the knife in his hand and asked him to rob that child. I'm no apologist or supporter of any party, but as far as i can tell, things aren't any better or worse under this government from the way they were under the previous. Same ish, different faces. People need to stop looking to government for everything. They obviously have their part to play in the country moving forward, but people need to get off their ass and try to help themselves much the same.

It's amazing that people don't get the inspiration out of Jadia's story. What does politics have to do with her success? She made it against all odds and that's the moral of the story. Anonymous should stop hiding and reveal his/her identity because I'm sure his/her life is no better than Jadia's. Rise up Jadia, there is still much more ahead for you!

....what an amazing profile in courage. Much success to you and your family, Jadia!

....Mama La Terre: bad-ass Black Woman!

Allie- What inspiration? How many school leavers can be press secretary to the PM? She's on $100,000 a year and had her private medical bills paid off the island, along with all her other expenses. Because she is marginally less illiterate than her peers she is being held out as the next Lewis.

Lucians suffer from a culture of low expectations; the fact that she is being held out as a role model is troubling. The worst thing is her complete lack of humility in recognising that she is not a role model any self-respecting parent would want for their offspring. Yes, she saw the error of having the child so young, but that's as far as praise should go.

You really let Sheldon play in that furry magnet early, I think he stayed because you make a good salary when all is done he'll run for the hills LMFAO.

It would seem that ROLE MODEL has a different meaning in the minds of some St.lucians.
Whether through ignorance, party affiliation or both they are prepared to glorify someone who while at school, instead of doing her school work to the best of her ability was busy having SEX,and got pregnant at fifteen.
My question is what about that that is so worthy of praise that other young girls should emulate?
I can't think of one good mother who would be happy with her child getting pregnant at fifteen, except the hypocrites who see her as a role model.
Fast forward to 2011.What has she done between then and now to be considered as a role model for young people.
She becomes a political activist(party hack)and helped Kenny Anthony and the LABOUR PARTY lie to the people of ST>LUCIA.Remember BETTER DAYS.Remember the 100 million dollars to be pumped into the economy immediately upon becoming prime minister.Remember the promise of JOBS JOBS JOBS.JADIA was one of those shouting the loudest in promoting those promises which they knew were lies deliberately said to win the election.
Where is the role model in such deceiving behavior?
Every week JADIA is busy spreading half-truths and in many cases out-right lies to make the party look good.Every time she is caught lying she tries to get out of it by spreading more lies.
What is in this behavior that is worthy of emulating by any decent moral conscious young person?
She had her medical bills paid for by tax payers when she could have taken a loan as all civil servants would have had to do.
She has a political post. When her party is out of office she goes out as well.It should have been her party to pay her medical bills and not tax payers.
She gets a salary which in comparism to civil servant salaries is too high for the work she does. After all she is serving her party interest and not the national interest.
WHERE IS THE ROLE MODEL BEHAVIOR ?Only in ST Lucia that someone who spends all her time trying to bluff, fool, and lie to the people can be condidered A ROLE MODEL

ALLIE JEAN,you stated that Jadie has made it.What exactly does that mean?
IS it because she got pregnant at fifteen,or she is married or she is a press secretary, and countries like St.lucia this post simp,ly means lying at all cost for the prime minister and his party.
IT cannot be the first reason, meaning getting pregnant at school. It can't be the second because what is the big deal about getting married.
NOW the third is press secretary. In case you are not aware, let me educate you.The post of press secretary is a political post. When her party loses the next election her party(SLP)goes out and she loses her job.
NOW tell me,what about that which can be described as SHE HAS MADE IT?

5:.32 yes! You hit the nail on the head. She's just as complicit in the propaganda before the election! Kenny probably meant 10 million but neither of them knew what it was. Or maybe he meant 100 mil of debt.

Anonymous said...

Very inspiring, got to know you better.

Anonymous said...

I Can't with you people. @5:32 did you even read the thing in its entirety or did you just see the bit where she said she had a baby at 16 and let your hatred for the slp dictate the rest of the article? WHERE does the girl glorify teenage pregnancy? She CLEARLY tries to warn against it and advise young girls to not go down the same route. for once look beyond politics nuh?!?! Y'all calling her party hack...what does politics have to do with this article? and to that IDIOT talking about Sheldon getting in her furry magnet....how tactless and distastefully rude. I hate this word but you are STUPID!!! saying he stayed for the money...the girl was dirt poor with no job at the time from what i read so LOT KOTAY. I don't know Jadia from adam and I am not into politics so...Call me orange. I read a decent article about a public figure's very PERSONAL life and to see someone go through difficult times and make it out alive and sane...that's role model status to me

Bravo to you lady ,you are an inspiration to the youth especially the girls in society.Soon i will be calling you Dr,Emmanuel.Go for it my girl.

Blogger at 8:01 am,Obviously, you have difficulty using context clues and use of higher level skills (bloom's taxonomy)hense your lack of understanding of the article and comments.
You seem to be saying that persons who say that she does not fit the title of role model are being political. Now,tell me,who would be talking about her if she was not Kenny's press secretary?
The persons ,including you who think that she is a role model have not given any supporting evidence.
There are thousands of St.Lucian women who have overcome adversity to succeed in life(not by lying to ST.Lucians)so why don't you call all of them role models. As a matter of fact most St.lucian women had to struggle to achieve the great heights they have achieved. Many of them were also pregnant at early ages. They are in jobs they are qualified for, they were interviewed and based on their qualifications and experience they were employed.Their jobs does not include lying to St.Lucians before they got their jobs and continuing to lie even more after their got the jobs.
NOw tell me,what criteria was used by Kenny to give Jadia that job?
What does she do on a daily basis that is worthy of being called a role model?
Please don't tell me that she got pregnant at 15 and made it(whatever that means)because there are thousands of ST.lucian women who had to overcome much more and today are in jobs where they are making meaningful contributions to St.Lucia?
Now,tell me,can you describe the things said by jadia on a daily basis as meaningful and contributing to the development of the people of St.Lucia or specifically geared towards keeping Kenny and SLP in power (including keeping her job)at all costs.
Iawait your response.

Like her, or hate her, you cannot help but say AMEN to that.

June 06 at 12.23PM you had better check the life of your mother, grand-mother, your own woman, your sisters before you talk about someone at sixteen screwing .

You sound like a real ass.

The comment which I made above had absolutely no political considerations.

I believe as a young girl overcoming the odds, this lady has done extremely well.

Now how she is rated as a press secretary; is another matter one can analyze.

I do not know much about that aspect and therefore cannot make any analysis and hence no decision regarding her political sucess or lack of it.

These sick people in St. Lucia continue to see everything in a purely political sense. That's why this cuntry is in such a shit-hole. Then again the shit-ass politicians are voted by shit-holes like themselves.

Get a life Lucians.

wow, this is me in a nutshell. I got pregnant at 19 and was still in my first year of Sir Arthur. But Glory be to God at age 30 and my son 11. I have a great job and have attained all my goals i had set out for myself.

Pregnancy does not define you, for me i found it gave me that drive to propel. I had no choice but to do great things, my son inspired me to want to do better in life and to be that positive role model.

I love seeing when people strive for success even when they had to go through great trial and tribulations!

Bravo!!
