What a set of jokers we are!

We are too dumb to understand that a country is made up of several inter-related systems. That several of these can be ailing us the country at the same time. That it will take time to alleviate some of the problems in some. That some political actors may be better than others to enable some relief. Other are too dumb to understand even what ails us and far less what to do about that which ails us. And that the onus is on us, as INDIVIDUAL citizens to LEARN, and continue to learn to better equip OURSELVES and improve our country, by our very OWN EFFORTS to better understand our country, and not look to the idiots, past and present, that most of us elect to get us out of the persistent poverty.

These are important changes that we have to make, EACH OF US, at the individual level.

No political party in Saint Lucia has ever shown any intention and will to educate and develop the capacity of its rank and file of its card-carrying members.

Some of us are still looking for meaningful leadership and not just the ability to win seats or the majority of votes at election time.

Some of us do not wish to be reminded of the convoys of idiots that have passed through the corridors of the parliament without making any memorable lasting AND postive contribution to national life.

Therefore, the rank and file in BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES continues to remain manipulated idiots, and blissfully recommend and promote other idiots like themeselves to office. In such a situation where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise.

When such a pattern persists, you know that the primary objective of the shysters we continue to have as representatives care only to remain in office and to win the next election. After all, political office comes with a very generous salary plus a very secure pension for being able to fool most of our idiots for two terms. All you have to shoot the usual bull like the two guys, the drug baron and the US convict we had in the cabinet just recently.

Keeping the rank and file in perpetual ignorance as we've had since colonial times, the shysters we call politicians know that they only have to throw political crumbs at the hordes of low information processing idiots in their parties. Let them shout slogans like 'en rouge' in orgasmic unision, and all will be well.

Even the dummies that other dummies elect to office especially from the deep country know how to do this. Part-timers are salivating at the possibilities with their offshore pressure group.

Saint Lucia they say is idiot country. We perhaps have to wait for the younger and more educated to get us out of this morass of idiocy created by the deceitful rhetoric pouring out from our beloved bearded and greying political idiots.

Democracy only works with an educated and aware citizenry. The American founders themselves were aware of that.

So unfortunately when we elect a Anthony or a King or a jailbird like Rufus Bousquet we are only functioning as we are capable of.
do not expect any better in the future.

A recent article in a Chicago newspaper said Jamaica is the most indepted nation in the world and may have to default on debt.

grenada and St Kitts have issues paying civil servants.

The USA racks up $1.2 billion in debt on average for the Obama years and this is expected to continue with the clueless having voted for him a second time.

Central banks worldwide have PRINTED $8 trillion in money over the past year.

We really going to hit a hard wall soon.

If st. Lucian's think it is bad now - wait and see.

riots and ting !

@#1, it is clear that no type of innovation and far-sighted change will ever come to Saint Lucia, and far less ever emerge from the rank and file of members of the existing political parties, if followers are plainly mere cheerleaders of the status quo. The crap continues.

I live here now for almost ten years. Anyway the article is very clear. BUT is does not mention any solution to create jobs. And please no more public servant jobs. I have a business solution. It will create jobs, trade and money for the government. Mr. Kenny Anthony can contact me in person.
