Ronald,

This is an excellent article - inundated with relevant information that impacts life from Cap, Gros Islet, to Maria Islet.

Thanks for this well written article, that I hope the ignorant Allen Chastanet reads.

Son-of man:
Don't be ignorant of the facts. I think the Labour has a lot to learn from all this - after all, they are the ones in power today.
Don't leave Kenny off the hook and go straight after Allen Chastanet. Allen is not running a country and may never get the opportunity to do so. You are being very unfair and prejudiced against Chastanet because ofcourse of your inherent racism and jealousy.
ST. LUCIA HAS A BIG PROBLEM AND WE ALL KNOW WHO IS TO BLAME.

My Fellow Lucian @ 4:06

I do not question your dissatisfaction with the Government of St. Lucia. I will not argue that the financial environment has undergone clamorous and drastic changes, with the prescribed medication producing an unpleasant aftertaste.

However, I am forced to ask you: are you not embarrassed by the unmitigated display of ignorance by Allen Chastanet, Gale Rigobert, and their shameless stupidity in front of the World?? Or is it the case that you condone this embarrassment because of “ignorant bliss” on your part?

Let me premise the video of Chastanet below, by stating these historical facts :

The Tea Act of 1773, was the catalyst for a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, on December 16, 1773, also called the Boston Tea Party. The demonstrators, some disguised as American Indians, destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company, in defiance of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773. Colonists objected to the Tea Act because they believed that it violated their rights as Englishmen to "No taxation without representation," They boarded the ships and threw the chests of tea into Boston Harbor, ruining the tea. The British government responded harshly and the episode escalated into the American Revolution also called the War of Independence and was fought against England.

Now, on the other hand, the American Civil War, happens some 100 years after the War with England.

The American Civil War, also known as the War Between the States or simply the Civil War, was a civil war fought from 1861 to 1865, after seven Southern slave states declared their secession and formed the Confederate States of America (the "Confederacy" or the "South", which grew to include eleven states). The states that remained in the Union were known as the "Union" or the "North". The war had its origin in the fractious issue of slavery, especially the extension of slavery into the western territories.[N 1] Foreign powers did not intervene. After four years of bloody combat that left over 600,000 Union and Confederate soldiers dead and destroyed much of the South's infrastructure, the Confederacy collapsed, slavery was abolished, and the difficult Reconstruction process of restoring national unity and guaranteeing civil rights to the freed slaves began.

Now Here's your Charlatan Chastanet as he invents his own “ignorant facts” telling you ignorant Lucians that the Civil War was fought with England over "No taxation without representation,"? And this lunatic has not been arrested for Endangering the Public???

CHASTANET REWRITES HISTORY.

Declaring the United States Civil war was fought against England and caused by Taxation without Representation, and Slavery never existed; listen for your self:

Ronald:

Today billions of Muslims around the world celebrate the completion of the month of fasting the month of Ramadan. Today is known as the EId Al-Fitr(Feast of the month of fasting), I extend the greetings of:

Eid Mubarak عيد مبارك = (Have) a blessed Eid.

Arabic reads from the Right to the left. Barak is Arabic for blessed as in Barak Obama.

Do you see the importance of a name grounding you in your roots?

If his name was Winston Springer would he be President?

This is why people like Claudius Francis were given these slave names and the reason they are so dangerous to the "Neg Mawon", Maroons, run-away slaves like myself.

Muslims around the world celebrated with prayer and food during the Eid al-Fitr festival on Monday, marking the end of Ramadan 2014, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The annual holiday, which lasts for three days, marks the anniversary of the Quran being revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

There was some confusion this year as to when Eid would be celebrated, The Guardian reported, but both the Saudi Press Agency and the Fiqh Council of North America declared Monday, July 28, as the end of Ramadan.

The three-day festival, sometimes abbreviated as “Eid” or “Eid Mubarak,” marks the end of the monthlong daytime fasting during Ramadan, which began on June 28 this year. Eid al Fitr begins after the new crescent moon appears and falls on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, when Muslims celebrate unity. During Eid, many join in Islamic prayer, known as salat while saying "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Great," and feasting.

Ramadan is an annual celebration held during the ninth month of the 12-month Islamic calendar, starting after the sighting of the new moon. The holy month began this year on June 28 at sunset, or “rukyah,” when the moon was spotted. The celebration lasts for 29 or 30 days until the next new moon appears, which happened on Monday. The month of fasting is celebrated by more than 1.5 billion Muslims around the world, including in the U.S., where there are nearly 2.6 million Muslims, according to the Pew Research Center.

The purpose of Ramadan is to focus on spirituality, prayer and withholding any acts of violence during the fast. Many Muslims around the world are expected to participate -- with the exception of the elderly, sick and pregnant -- and wish each other "Ramadan Kareem" or "Ramadan Mubarak."

For the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Ed al-Fitr, Arabic for “breaking the fast.” Muslim families will exchange gives, sit down for meals and pray together for three days.

Traditional greetings during Eid al-Fitr are “Eid Mubarak,” which means "Blessed Eid," and “Eid Said,” meaning "Happy Eid." Muslims also donate food, called “Zakat al-Fitr” or “charity of breaking the fast,” so that the poor can also celebrate the holiday.

During Ramadan, Muslims are expected to refrain from food and drink and abstain from smoking and sex from dawn to dusk as one of the five pillars of Islam. The breaking of the fast, or iftaar, begins at dusk by eating dates. Some Muslims have slightly different variations and have broader definitions of practices during Ramadan.

One wonders what is the exchange rate of a single CARICOM vote denominated in Japanese Yen. I don't have a yen for diplomatic obfuscation.
