Is Our Prime Minister Care-worn?

This is well reasoned and well said. Those who know better, and the initiated have known for a very long time that the Minister of Finance is at the very deep end.

They knew also too well, that he was way beyond his tether and that the need to finesse a recovery and turnaround budget was always above his ken.

The repeated abdication of responsibility evidenced by trips abroad is now unquestionable. With this too is the evaporation of any trust that existed before the grave misstep and ill-advised decision to legislate a government's seizure of public sector members' individual property, their wages and salaries.

This if carried out fully, is in grave contravention of basic rights enshrined in the island's constitution. That is partially the reason behind the rolling circus.

Only a kangaroo court will ever find legal argument in support this arbitrary, this dictatorial and this communist action.

The world is watching, SLP. The world is watching.

The investors that you want so much and you need so much are taking note.

Neither will general members of the public endorse a government using coercive power, riding rough-shod over the people, save those who have nothing to lose and all to gain.

The Communist and Cuban-styled Rent-A-Crowd have been detected, members of which are just SLP's regulars, in and out of work in the S.T.E.P., the En Rouge-nistas.

Very well said! But I have to say that it is a stated fact that Lucians hate themselves and each other. John Compton warned Lucians about this man and his government. The poor man died trying to save Lucians from their ungrateful selves. Yet, they allowed the very situation he died trying to prevent from happening. So, let's see how this will play out.
Lakatan ka tan, yo paka tan! Un jour, yo kai tan!

Just prior to the 2006 when Sir John trounced the clueless and incompetent Kenny & Co , I had the honour of meeting this great man on a political matter.
He was very clear about Kenny whom he described as untrustworthy and a scamp. St Lucians have also known this as far back as 1998 (remember 'Kenny and Tony) but unfortunately the rogues who have populated the upper echlon of the UWP have given us no choice but to abstain or vote SLP. Marcus Nicholas, Rufus Bousquet, Fredericks, Guy Joseph , Montoute, et al have been a blight on the UWP.

Kenny used to run from the House of Assembly in 2003/4 whenever Sarah Flood stood to speak as she was singlehandedly bringing the opposition to Kenny's inability to govern, when the UWP was comatose under King. So Kenny running away from St Lucia now and earning $1,000s in per diems on the taxpayer, is not new for that coward.

But St Lucia get the politicians they deserve and the hole they are in are of their own making.
Central Castries vote for Fredericks instead of Sarah Flood. We get what we deserve.
The UWP made Marcus Nicholas Leader of the Opposition instead of that courageous woman. We get what we deserve.

When the SLP was packing the civil service with thousands of party supporters costing hundreds of millions of borrowed dollars over the years I did not hear anyone complaining. We get what we deserve.
When Kenny transacted billions in St Lucian assets to Grynsberg outside of his jurisdiction I have not seen St Lucians on the streets protesting or calling for him to be tried in court. In fact except for an occasional mention by Rick I do not hear anything! We get what we deserve.

When $hundreds of millions are borrowed to give party supporters for NICE or STEP , the average Lucian refuses to discuss the crippling effect of this increased debt, the creation of a mendicancy low income class dependant on government or the wastage of resources that instead should be used to create permanent jobs by reviving agriculture and raising productivity by training in useful trades just like the Germans.

Because of CHOICES WE MAKE we are faced with the 'devil and the deep blue sea'. SLP or UWP? Red scamps or yellow scamps? At least the UWP have the legacy of Sir John Compton but unfortunately it if buried under the trash.

Saint Lucians GLORIFY ignorance. They did this when they allowed a hot air balloon to change the constitution for a fellow socialist greenhorn. To date, I still fail to see the logic in doing that, and the positive lasting -- if any -- impacts flowing from that.

For Saint Lucians, practical knowledge may be good; ignorant and arrogant greenhornism is better. Isn't that what we are paying for right now?

Today, we are benefiting from our NATIONAL short-sightedness and pathetic gullibility.

The majority of voters bought the emptiness of a slogan in place of practical economic ideas, with "better days".

Today, the evidence is that they were just feeding the country with their bilge.

Better days was intended only for the army of SLP executive members, yard fowls, and that party's communist-styled rent-a-crowd S.T.E.P. all rolled into one, the en-rouge-nista.

Kenny Anthony pretends to know what he does not know. Too bloody arrogant to learn from those who can enlighten him.

This fellar was never known to be bright in school. Never mind his so-called doctorate in Law?

And who can't cram to get that same kind of doctorate?

And then again he is very vindictive and nasty.

When he could fire Rick Wayne and two others for speaking the truth and seeing about the proper interest of St. Lucians in Parliament; he unceremoniously kicked them out; forgetting in short time; that it was Rick Wayne who skyrocketed him into popularity in politics.

From that time, I realized he was dangerous; callous and worthless.

If we from now on give people props based not on paper achievements and not-worked-for PhDs, as a nation so guided, we would be better appraisers of character. The phonies would not be so upheld as Heaven sent, and as demi-gods.

Short answer: No. All the care has been concentrated on yard fowls to ensure re-election and to secure his two titles. STEP is emblematic of economic genius and it fosters the growth of pre-paid installments for winning elections by the communist-styled en rouge-nista.

Yes of course; it is clear that Kenny Anthony is hell-bent on unlimited expenditure for political yard-fowls all in the hope of winning elections. But the SALOP won't be back in political office ever; after this upcoming general elections.

Some good licks in KA's tail - let's hope he or his satellites read this. They can't keep their heads in the sand forever. Time for them to go.

Lord knows how I want to see the back of this shyster. What a blasted curse! I will not be voting for any POS that makes another rise to the top to become Minister of Finance or the PM.

All Kenny's actions demonstrates, a clueless Prime Minister who has lost the plot. He employs endless consultants then begs the Unions for solutions to his problems. Poor Jab. He spends Eleven million on Jazz, then nothing on carnival in Vieux Fort Carnival, great move Kenny. I can't wait for the next election to tell the Kenny Anthony lead Labour party what I think of them.

We forget this is the same Kenny who was asking Menissa in Cabinet to help him with ideas to deal with the rapidly escalating crime in his first Administration!

This is the same Kenny and Philip Pierre who borrowed profusely and saved nothing for a rainy day , during the boom tourism years and had nothing to show for it afterwards.

This is the Philip Pierre (the Hollywood wannabe who is always 'acting') who spent hundreds of millions on agriculture and the production of ALL crops fell disasteriously.

The more you write about these clowns the more you realize you could pick the first 10 people off Bridge Street on any morning and they could run St Lucia better than these clowns.

Phillip (PIP) Pierre? Blogger don't go there.

This fellar is not worth discussing. The most vindictive and nasty politician you can ever find.

He is the one propping up Kenny Anthony to continue all his filth in the hope that Kenny will fix him up to be political leader. No such luck crapo PIP.

But he now knows more than ever; that he can NEVER be a Prime Minister in this country. And he can take that to the Bank; and cash it!

Anonymous said...

Agreed and you have to remember that from 1997 Pierre has been the incompetent Robin to Kennys Batman! He has been just as responsible for the debt and lack of success.

Kenny Anthony is not even smart enough to observe all around him; that the signs are saying "Get Going".

Nor is he smart enough to recognize that he does not know; what he does not know.

Anonymous said...

Even the sycophants around Kenny Anthony are quietly saying "he has lost it".

And that's the joke in the civil service.Everyone is keeping away from his office; save for PIP.

What kind of person that is nominally a Saint Lucian, who marches for a cause that knowingly would put the entire country's finances in jeopardy, just to win their self-election? What kind of person does this?
