There can be a thousand reactions to this piece, but suffice it to say: black people, take care of your own affairs; you have long passed the need for a fairy white godfather!...had to do the gender equality thing.

That's it above... Throw in some identity politics and massa chat, that normally does the trick. You speak as if a black person never fucks over another black person.

You had already made up your ignorant little mind before reading the article.

The rejected member and UWP outcast Mr. Ferrol Prudent still have the white man mentality because he lives in America. We should understand that we Caribbean people are educated enough to handle our affairs and this idea of we have to go to England to the white gods should be over. Ferrol come and march with us on August 1st.

Ferrol Prudent is a clown, he cannot event convince himself to leave the comfort of his Queens dwelling and come face the music in sweet Helen. The UK government has made it clear, it does not have the resources to continue accommodating its colonial dependents. Its time to move on Ferrol, with or without your support.

What the hordes of idiots cannot appreciate is that Mr. Prudent is asking for the respect of the rule of law. He is asking for us to observe what the constitution says, and not the rule of the jungle as is the modus operandi of the cutting government.

Government of Saint Lucia is leading by example by stealing from the people to pay its yardfowls to vote for it in the next election with NICE and STEP.

Chick. Chick. Chick. Chick come.

Now all the wild young men are following the current SLP.

They likewise see nothing wrong in stealing and hurting people as with the law of the jungle. They are following their leaders. The report said that Saint Lucia is idiot country.

3:50 PM - what are you on? Don't you have anything sensible to say? 6.20 is on the money.

The problem is that too many are blinded by their own ignorance.

Why not a pool of eligible judges from each island running in a runoff election (separate and distinct from all other local electionsevery 6 years or more.

Criteria = minimum years of service in judge magistrate role

A special limited funds for campaign and restrictions as in fixed on % media ad expenditure (more to paper less to tv) but all other stand alone (NO PARTY SPONSORED) events must include invitation to all contestants e.g.,
community sponsored town hall met greet, cltural events etc.

However, contestants are free to create their own stand alone grass roots drives (walk the streets, malls, etc. with requisite permis approved by pertinent community council and GG

This may circumvent the writers concerns about (POLITICAL /PATRONAGE-NEPOTISM) eroding independent judiciary considerations of said regional court.

As per legacy of past decisions t draw upon. Well the young regional upstart can select key decisisions from the Privy's archives as a basis for initial deliberations and or reference for class A Capital offenses and decisions surrounding international law.

Finally, come on guys/dolls can we channell that volcanic Lucian passion sans the blatant VULGAR words.
There are better substitutions that convey the same level of vehement objection N'est pas?

The minors may be awake!

The CCJ MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE A PART OF SAINT LUCIA; unless through a referendum; the PEOPLE agree. Otherwise; another Government coming in; we will demand that they rescind any such agreement.

We are a DEMOCRACY1 Never has nor will be a SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST COUNTRY.

Kenny ANTHONY can migrate to CUBA To join Fidel Castro if he so desires. But over our dead bodies will he place us in positions or places we do not care to be. So take note KENNY ANTHONY.

These Caribbean politicians especially the likes of KENNY ANTHONY who seems to have a blasted chip on his shoulders; having been brought up as a bastard; and whose father did not give one damn about him; is all about destruction.

Politicians like him who operate without any conscience; are all caught up in this so-called Caribbean Court of Justice; NOT FOR THE BETTERMENT OR REAL JUSTICE FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE REGION; BUT FOR THEIR OWN BLASTED AGENDA.

These fellars are all GOOD FRIENDS WITH THOSE WHO SIT ON THE BENCH. Witness in recent times who have been appointed HIGH COURT JUDGES. MARIO MITCHEL AND LORRAINE WILLIAMS.

Watch out LUCIANS. YOUR TAILS WILL BE EATEN UP When Politicians and Judges whether CCJ or otherwise are all HONKIE DORY.

Nothing about the CCJ could mean anything good for the people of this Region. At least we know that the PRIVY COUNCIL does not allow STINKING; CARIBBEAN (AND SOMETIMES BLOODY CORRUPT POLITICIANS) to INFLUENCE THEIR DECISIONS.

I say AWAY WITH ANY CCJ. We Lucians must send KENNY ANTHONY and his louses PACKING!

These BLACK/MULATTO Caribbean POLITICIANS have TREATED us WORST in this region than the WHITE COLONIZERS ever did?

See the state of this Caribbean Region?

HUNGRY; ILL-BRED; BADLY DRAGGED UP men and sometimes women who are not accustomed to finesse and a good way of life getting into politics and wanting to govern our countries FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT.

Immediately after getting into politics and in government; their bellies start to get bigger and bigger like their bank accounts.

It is all about themselves. Absolutely nothing to do with the well-being of the people of these countries.

I fully support both comments @ 6:30 AM. These are my observations exactly. The old greying fuddy-duddies who care not a rat's #$#@@$ about leaving a better country after their wasted lives have ended, have repeatedly placed literally dragged-up goons into government. This happens in both parties.

And this shows up repeatedly in the goons' lack of any respect for the constitution, for protocol, and for plain common decency.

How dare you call yourself a Saint Lucian and go on to support moves that can place the whole damn country in a position to default because of its inability to pay its national debt? What makes me so damn bitter is that such characters knew well beforehand, that this country could not afford that excess.

What kind of character does this? Where were those dragged up from?

Then to have such despicable characters come before you asking for votes? That is enough to make someone explode in rage!

People who do these kinds of outrageous things are traitors? People who vote for such in the ballot box and in party elections for leadership positions are even worst than traitors. They are purely vile reprobates, low-lifes, slime-balls and scumbags!

Some time's I wounder why do I read the blog's. When one have to read such crap as in @6.20. Because this is an idiot who have not understood that, the Privy Council and the English Govt. have express their desire to dump us. Weather we want it or not, the time will come when we will have no choice but to accept the CCJ as our final court of appeal. The Privy Council have already told us that we should be looking after our legal affairs. Now for those who believe that the issue is a party SLP or UWP issue will remain as idiotic bracket as @6.20.

If you understand what an idiot you are, you would never ref to @6:20 as one. The contribution maade was perhaps amoung the most intelligent I have read. The issue here is about whether the people of the OECS should be given the right to approve the CCJ. This is the question which seem to elude those whose reading skills aren't that great.

Referring to Mr. Therold Prudent as "ferrol" is so juvenile. I am not sure if the bloggers is hoping that others would consider it an insult. Not even my 5 year daughter finds it amusing. For once learn to grow up and speak to the issues instead of Tee ABC puffs to make a point. LOL Sac way simpletons! LOL

There we go again showing off our downright social and political immaturity for the entire world to see, as in the post of July 30, 2014 at 1:23 PM.

1. Because we have to leave the British Privy Council, must we now choose to install this legal justice system with an injection of an illegality?

2. By this I mean, must we now bypass the constitutional provisions of the individual countries involved?

3. Most importantly, does doing so not fly in the face of paying respect to the legal nicety of observing the rule of law that this very court is supposed to protect and uphold?

4. Finally, does this (#3 above) not sound a tad awkward for the new system of jurisprudence that is about to be established, undermining confidence in this set up by external legal jurisdictions?

If you understand just about anything concerning legal systems, such a misstep is setting a very outrageously and dangerously bad precedent. And I use the word precedent advisedly.

You are thus flippantly furnishing or supporting an excuse to ignore other provisions in the constitutional guarantees embedded in the Member Countries' constitutions themselves.

Wise people would have reasonable and justifiable cause to be very uncomfortable with that, and moreso, especially with regards to those persons who are actually trying to ram down our throats.

From the above, if the whole thing if it gets a pass as is, this begs the question: What's up next for constitutional violation?

Darn it! What I understand Mr. Prudent to be saying simply is just this: We are starting the highest court in our system of jurisprudence on a very wrong footing. Plain and simple.

Moreover, having experience in one area of a body of law, does not necessarily mean that any over-reach ipso facto extends to you, the requisite expertise in all the other area branches. Does it?
