RAPE IS A CRIME OF POWER

THE RAPIST IS THRILLED BY THE TOTALITARIAN POWER OF ANNEXING A WOMAN's POWER OF CHOICE, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND SUBJECT HER TO SHAVE and SERF LIKE OBEDIENCE

NOte the CHURCH . It is more than backdrop

ST Lucia has ranked at 99+% church believers zealots if you please.

Yet only rate of gor-gears ranks higher than FORCIBLE ASSAULT in this CHURCHY island.

How many gor gear married men take whats theirs after a binge regardless of their wives temporary incapacity to entertain their sexual wishes.

How many just MOUNT their women / girls without any foreplay,or instilling hopelessnesslubrication enhancement- most often with the express subliminal aim of inflicting crushing gender dominance via pain, fear, inferiority complex and hopelessness.

How many go UNREPORTED UNCONTESTED in CHURCHLAND, LAWYERLAND StLucia.

WHY? Revisit the tainted hypocrisy that the brave victim mentions.

Where is CHARLES BRONSON to separate those cowardly ping pongs from their scrotum with a rusty fouchette?

Kernice I may not know you personally ;however I am deeply sorry for what happened to you. As a woman and a fellow St.Lucian it hurts to know we live in a society where men can violate women and nothing is done to reprimand those perpetraters, and protect the victims. It is a cycle that continues when victims keep silent, and those in higher authority do nothing.
I commend your strength to stand up and speak about your pain. When you speak up you break an abuser's power over you. As a survivor of sexual and emotional abuse I understand. There are thousands of St.Lucians who are victims of all kinds of abuse. However; because of SHAME and FEAR most of them don't speak up. There is nothing Blissful about an ignorant society that is quick to blame the victims. It's time that St.Lucians wake up and take a stand against any form of abuse towards Man, Woman or Child.

Kernice you can forgive yourself and know that you did absolutely nothing to deserve to be raped.
May you find the peace to live life and teach your son the values he needs to become a great citizen.

Just an all out sad story. If I were in SL I would help this young lady. Her rapists should be burnt alive.

This always happen in St.Lucia. It's Like it's better to be evil than good. The criminals always get away and walk the streets. They get to live a good life, free of all their crimes and charges, all thanks to the justice system while the Kernice is still scared and hurting. They took her social life, Education and innocence. F**k the rapists,Shame on the Lawyer and Damn her family. Kernice May God give you the strength to live on and see a better day each day for the rest of your life. Would that I could, I would give you the love and support that your family denied you. Be strong for you and your son.

Wow this is so sad. As a mother to hear a young girl got voliated at such an early age and nothing was done. To those who did that to her I hope you all never have daughters because what goes around comes back around.

My heart pains for you but at the same time I am very happy you are trying to remain strong. My husband is from St. Lucia and I have heard many stories similar to yours regarding others, I find it unfathomable that any parent could "not like/love" their child regardless but have been witness to this myself regarding my step children and dealing with others. I pray you remain strong and that you be a better parent to your son than obvious anyone was to you. And remember, even on your saddest days, someone loves you and someone is thinking about you, somewhere out there someone is praying that you will do better in life, and that someone is me, have a blessed day young lady and remember God only gives his hardest tasks to his strongest soldiers. I will also pray that St. Lucia wakes up and takes cases like these more seriously with more serious punishment for sexual predators.
AMEN!
I pray that these women making children realize it was them who lay down and spread their legs to make these children they grow to dislike and hope they pray for their souls come judgement day, God has given you a blessing to be fruitful and multiply and when you take such a gift as this regardless of the father, and treat it like a dog, well let's just say may God have mercy on your soul!

Over to you Mr. Anthony and the human rights Lady!...the non-performing lawyer must be disbared, and we need to know who these guys are!... young Lady I wish you well, and there must be an organization out there to help this young Lady get on her feet... come on Lucians!

Anonymous said...

This is a demonstration of strength and a positive character. Her strength is uncommon in our society today, so I commend her. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. May God bless her. Having said this, I must add the this is a clear example of the disrespect and inconsiderate for women in our country even by our justice system.

I find it rather strange and unfair that with all this evidence, of pictures, semdn and so forth, your case was dismissed...the police and court system in st lucia is terrible...and now they to can fall into the the abusive line, cause they to abuse the system...disgusting, sick, and downright insulting to women..they are bastards, all of them

Young lady God has a purpose for your life despite the misfortunes you are not alone He saved me He can save you ...turn to Him today.

The legal system has let down another one of our youths. A child gets raped and the case was dismissed even though there was sufficient proof of who her attackers were?! incredible! But, you are the strongest, most confident person that I have ever read about. You have been faced with so much tragedy in your life and in spite of it all, you are still able to smile and raise your son with such love, understanding, and compassion. My hats off to you, Kernice! I will surely keep you in my prayers so that you can get a job and to keep on moving on. God bless!

I taught this young girl at the infant school and it broke my heart while reading her story. Was a sweet and well behaved student. Continue to trust in God.

Kernice, I may not know you but you are an extremely determined individual, who, regardless of this heinous past, has risen above it.It is not your fault and don't ever think that. You have a blessed heart.Continue being strong and keep your glowing smile. Caden is one of your greatest blessings.Be the best you can for him and yourself.

NOW SHE NEEDS A JOB!!!....Where are the good citizens on the island?!!

This is a good article to let us know how wicked and evil this country is. But I strongly believe that given the smallness of this country and the love of idle gossip and ignorance; the newspaper should not have shown the lady's photograph.

That was just not necessary. There should have been much more sensitivity in all of this.

Anonymous said...

And where the hell is the Prime Minister, the Minister for Justice and the Minister for Women's Affairs?

This country just makes me sick. I can well understand who so many St. Lucians living overseas do not care to return.

Anonymous said...

July 28, 2014 @ 11:49 AM, those were my thoughts exactly. The photograph was an overkill.

We in our storytelling must still guard the victim's privacy and whatever is left of their (her) dignity. She is woman. The newspaper article when archived, might well outlive her. Here, a very good story is marred by thoughtlessness.

In the future, please do not allow yourself to get so carried away. You are still loading on the harm caused.

I would like to let it be known that I was given full consent to show the photograph by the subject without coercion. This in my eyes, hers and many supporters is a bold and brave move to show her abusers that she is not afraid to speak out against this grave injustice that plagues millions of victim worldwide.

Omg. God is indeed love. After reading this speechless. This young lady is strong. After all what she has gone through. When u think that u are going through something someone else has it worst. Keep strong and have faith god will make a way for u. To these men I hope that your life is as miserable or worse for what you have put this young lady through.

If you hide the pic then whats the point in speaking out? Good job rochelle and kernice for goin all the way to expose this wickedness. Hiding will just strengthen the problem. God bless you kernice

NORMALLY- pic are not published
This is an exceptional travesty of a Class A Felony WITH PREMEDITATION- The maximum sentencing for such premeditation and post traumatic taunting and social intimidation typically ranks higher than a manslaughter conviction- in most civil societies.

It is apparent that there is a pathological scourge endemic in our DOUBLE STANDARDS culture. We are not talking open the door, bring chocolates and flowers on a date-romanticism

WOMEN MUST have greater rights and responsibilities for the SANCTITY of their bodies.

OH Yeah, It is a holier than thou INALIENABLE RIGHT; Women are the organic continuity of human life on this planet -not mere incubators. The finalizing of the creative birth process is all within them. Desecrating this temple may begat extreme sociological and psychological implications for a generation or so.

The current levels of reported and unreported physical /sexual /mental assault are at critical mass.

WE need an iconic Joan of Arc with the unwavering testimony and dedication of M L King to lead the war im the courts, churches, stadiums, schools offices, supermarkets, open markets, farms and HOMES of this island -since years ago.

NOW is the time that this level of vivid atrocity has galvanized us to eyeball the heinous monster. NO MORE : RIGHT NOW

These perpetrators are the ones to hide in dreaded fear. Her picture does what ALL else has failed her and the plight of women. The monster can run but it cannot hide -no more, ever more.

To the ramparts- Let our local "Joan Of Arc herald the alliance of the valiant knights of the Legendary Round Table

From a queen Helen (reddy) of song to a Princess of The Helen of the West

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong
(Strong)
I am invincible
(Invincible)
I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong
(Strong)
I am invincible
(Invincible)
I am woman

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long, long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can face anything
I am strong
(Strong)
I am invincible
(Invincible)
I am woman

I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman

So as for retribution: I think the lawyer should be sued if the statute of limitations has not expired.. A good Christian lawyer should do that probono,,
Secondly since this was indeed a case, I don't know if there is a freedom of information act in st.lucia, we need to see the face of the rapists, and the flipin lawyer.,

Thirdly : I recommend that and account is opened for donations I would donate.
