I wonder if a very popular SLP government were to forcibly confiscate 5% from the pay of public servants, that this could ever be considered a crime? If so, I wonder too, what the level of the crime rate in Saint Lucia would climb to?

This kind of information brought to the general public's attention by the Commissioner of Police and its team is commendably. This is what ought to take place in a civilized society.

It is this kind of information the educated individuals in the society need to discuss using all forms of media at their disposal to enlighten and educate the masses. And not the CONSTANT BASHING OF THE POLICE FORCE. I am not referring to political puppets and yard-fowls. I am referring to Persons who are not known in our society to be LICKING up the behinds of POLITICIANS for favours.

When we examine the data presented by the Police at that press conference; we observe a figure of TWENTY-THREE cases of persons HAVING INTERCOURSE WITH CHILDREN BELOW THE AGE OF TWELVE.

Now that should ring out alarm bells to us. As a society, we need to get to the root of this, and stop it dead in its tracks,

The population of WOMEN in our country is more than men. So men have enough women to choose from. To make overtures and flirt with; in the hope of getting a nod.

So why are the MEN in St. Lucia attracted or desiring to HAVE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF TWELVE?

Shall I ask; are mothers selling their children out to men?

Or, are the children lacking what they believe they need and having sex with the men for money to buy the things they need? or

Are the men engaging in DEMONIC ACTIVITIES, such as VOODOO and WITCH-CRAFT and such practices of taking a child's VIRGINITY is necessary?

Or is it a combination of these and other factors?

We as a society cannot afford to sleep on this and MUST TAKE COHESIVE AND UNITED ACTION.

What is the Government doing to examiner deeper into this problem and to stop it.

Where do the men accused of those crimes live; in proportion to the numbers?

What do those men do as a living? Are they single or married?

Are those men involving step-fathers or other blood relatives?

The Police ought now to invade homes via a search warrant for persons found to be involving in WITCH-CRAFT and VOODOO or other such practices; and confiscate and expose such paraphernalia to the public; since under St. Lucia's Laws these are criminal acts. And bring those perpetrators to Justice.

We also noted that of the NINETY-EIGHT DRUG RELATED CASES; NINETY-FIVE of these cases; involved St. Lucians. Ninety-five cases within a THREE-MONTH period says a heck of a lot of what is going on in this country.

What are the ages?
Men and Women?
Which parts of the country?
Employed or unemployed ?
Are these repeat offenders? The rate of recidivism?

Good work by the Police Department. We the Public now have our work cut out for us; by getting fire under the TAILS of the GOVERNMENT to get to work and solve the problems confronting the country.

We pay those politicians to get the job done; as well as the civil/public servants.

BRAVO Commissioner of Police and your team; for not conveniently sweeping such vital information under the carpet; so we can hold the Government accountable to solving our country's problems.

This is precisely what we are paying them to do. Not to play nasty, stinking politics.

We are just fed-up!
