CARICOM is totally aware of the big picture ,and has decided to invest its energies in the more lucrative drug sales. I cite Jamaica as proof, something I mentioned to you several months ago.
The problem with rum is that there is very little difference in taste especially when splashed into the myriads of concoctions - for the average continental user.
Except of course for the more expensive AGED bottled segment (which the protected preferential market of Bacardi has adopted in order to nudge Myers previous mastery of that limited exclusive top shelf.
If only the nuances of regional varietals OF RUM duplicated the varietal differentiation found in wines then Caricom would have a major arm to shoot from.
