There is definitely an undercurrent of sour grapes in the case of Hermingale. He comes across as petulant and angry. He proffered personal reasons - they don't like me, they disrespected me, they did not appreciate me, they discarded me, they did not take me serious, they did not see to it I got to be CoP, and a litany of "me, me, me, me" woes. This guy is displaying all the symptoms of a megalomaniac. Has more that a healthy dose of self-importance and is just one fry short of a happy meal. Both of them believe that they ONLY way they can serve a party is by being selected to run a seat. Have they given any thought to the idea that others have been toiling in the vineyards much longer than them? What is it that they can bring to the UWP that they could not offer the SLP? For a guy who was a hairsbreath away from the CoP position why was he not instrumental in sharing his ideas with the other leadres of the force? Does that not show that you are selfish, bitter, and not a team player? So you have all these brilliant ideas and you were not able to coalesce the rest of the leadership of the force to embrace it and present it as the ideas fo the collective. That is not leadership acumen Mr. Francis. The Peterson guy started to make a case that the party has deviated from its core principles and is no longer in sync with his beliefs while I do not completely believe him I am more empathetic towards him than Hermin. When you are so consumed with elected office you are telegraphing a self-interested vibe and not an interest in the commonweal. Don't get me wrong now we live in a democracy and you have a right to association and vote your conscience but you do not have a right to bully the leadership of any political party and force yourself on the electorate as if you were ordained. UWP must carefully roll the welcome mat for these opportunistic political crapauds.
Whilst i understand the pain of the Francis brothers, one will understand that its not everyone who fought to bring the Labour Party back into office should be compensated with their own wishes. For me i fought to bring this Party into office to provide good governance and that is well on its way.Once this country recovers we all will benefit in a big way. In my opinion the Francis boys will only be true UWPs if they get what they want...Now! This is an event that all Saint Lucians should note with emphasis. One does not really know individuals unless he has done business, or traveled on a journey with a person. Something else worth noting is what can be observed during difficult periods; how a person reacts during times of crisis to stressful situations will tell you more about the individual than a lifetime of association in tranquil times.
Saint Lucia is in the grip of a very difficult economic challenge, and while the Government is engaged in administering the least painful remedies to the financial problems, there are traitors like Claudius James Francis, Peterson Francis and Hermangild Francis( Peterson Francis a disgruntled actor rejected by Dr Kenny Anthony for the chairmanship of the Housing Authority), Peter Josie a reputable calumnious opportunist, and people like the narcissist John Rick Leary Wayne carrying an axe to avenge being fired by Kenny, all praying for the sufferings of Saint Lucians to intensify so they can get an opportunity to put Guy Joseph in charge of the Lucian's Treasure.
I submit that the Francis brothers have exposed their total lack of ethical character by looking at you Lucians in the face, and telling you they never discussed the defection with each other, WHAT!! – I know Lucians are not that stupid to accept such an obvious LIE. Even more alarming is the dominant theme in the selfish message of Hermangild; it was all about HIS SELF, at a time when Lucians are in the field of a vicious battle for survival.

I frowned on the newspaper for this non story but the content of the blogs indicates how truly shallow we are! Having said this, I know the country has significant talent uninterested in running for party political office.
Hermangild Francis; like the rest of us, is not perfect.
He has great skills to bring to the table and in my view is a decent (as best as you can find them) in the Government service.
For whatever the reason; Kenny Anthony made certain that Hermangild Francis was snobbed whilst in the hierarchy of the Police Force.
As far as I could tell; Kenny did not feel comfortable with Hermangild, because Hermangild speaks straight-up; and expresses his views; and is not an individual that is necessarily malleable; and bows to the wimps and fancies of such as Kenny Anthony. That was my observation.
In my view; if Kenny Anthony could have gone to the great lengths which he did to accommodate the so-called Internal Security Advisor; former Police Commissioner; he could have utilized the values which Hermangild could have brought to the Police Force.
But the Kenny Anthony that I know; can only feel comfortable with persons upon whom he can fart; in their faces; as he pleases, whenever he pleases; and no questions asked. Persons upon whom he can piss in their eyes; and call it rain; and their response must be "yes Sir, yes Sir".
He could not find that with Hermangild Francis. And it is precisely that low-down; stinking; sick mind of Kenny Anthony that has brought the Labour Party to the drain/gutters where it now lies; under the failed leadership.
