Furthermore SLASPA has issued licenses to boat operators known to break speed limit and overloading rules, have failed to act against those alleged to be using stolen mooring buoys in Marigot Bay and have failed to come forward with coherent demarcation proposals for Rodney Bay despite the death of a swimmer last year.
If SLASPA was actually to work cooperatively with its industry partners rather than completely ignoring them it would be the case that eminent persons such as the Consultant Director for Yachting would not be forced to argue in the media in desperation at SLASPA's lack of action in this critical sector.
