Are we ready for the free movement of people among the OECS islands when there we cannot secure a tint port.?

The government should stop hiring consultants to do nothing and start hiring young people to keep them occupied so they don't fall for the life of crime.

Great article. It really will pay for itself many times over if communities sorted these problems and infrastructure out. Also agree that free movement of people within Oecs is a bad idea. Islands needs be allowed to have their own policies on who comes and goes. They are too small to be trampled on.

So when are SLASPA and the Police going to do something about these thieves operating stolen mooring buoys in Marigot?

i'm sorry, but this problem is bigger than the community. The government needs to step up. This is an island wide problem. It needs to be addressed strategically, not just with patchwork and piecemeal

The problem of public safety and crime in the country is big and is getting bigger. It should be noted that the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security have not said anything lately about the situation. Of course, they are being protected by the State. We are not! Even those of us who are hospitalized, our few visitors too, are unsafe. We are left to arm ourselves against the misfits and only hope they do not take us first among the living in society. The situation here is a very sad one and probably we are doomed!

"We will see a return to investments in the expansion of our tourism plant." That was PM Anthony last week; and now this revelation!...will hold the adjectives for now.
