All these alba countries are falling apart, whilst they are offering those economic trouble islands loans at low interest their own people are without basic commodities like water and electricity. There is no such thing as a free lunch. You borrow money you will have to pay it back. In terms of strategic direction, a politician is as good as his broad and deep knowledge of the subject matter s/he is talking about, her/his emotional intelligence and those of her/his trusted advisors.
That is the yardstick that is to be used to assess OBJECTIVELY, the continuous avalanche of blather pouring out from the political directorate in the Caribbean, and NOT simply current popularity nor invitations to speak here and there.
As an index relevance and speaking directly to the issues that matter, watch and count how many past PMs in the Caribbean are invited to speak or have speaking engagements, after losing an election, are in retirement, or are out of office.
