I see CARLTON as a lover { patriot} of his country. He seems genuinely concerned about the citizenry and their behavior which if left unchecked will have negative consequences on individuals and country as a whole. Little slackness will lead to bigger or even fatal slackness.

Carlton does present some interesting perceptions; no doubt. I enjoy reading his articles, and while I have varying opinions on the subjects he addresses, I always look forward to reading his perceptions of social issues.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles will pay $13 million to settle 17 clergy abuse lawsuits, including 11 that involve a visiting Mexican priest who fled prosecution and remains a fugitive more than 25 years later, plaintiffs' attorneys said Tuesday.
The deal resolves all remaining clergy abuse lawsuits against the nation's largest archdiocese.
"We're happy to have this behind us," said J. Michael Hennigan, an archdiocese attorney.
The archdiocese settled more than 500 cases in 2007 for a record $660 million and has resolved numerous others since then, individually and in small groups.

I say this piece is a "masterpiece" well written.
I dont understand why everyone hacking on bike riders without helmet.
Do they harm anyone when driving like this?
Its there choice and long as the bike is insured and in proper technical condition let them drive like this without charging them for this "offence".
The same nonsene is charging a car driver without seatbelt not fastenet.
