This whole incident demonstrates a lack of respect or fear of the police. The punishment should send a message.
In Asia, most countries would regard said criminal offense as a form of anarchy - just a step below treason-
In any case the punishments are too severe to discuss in polite society.
Off island incarceration may trigger a little thought in the knuckle heads of perpetrators- prior to committing felonious crimes.
